Description
The Program Manager will be responsible for managing a Prime Contract with an IC customer performing day-to-day management of overall contract support operations or delivery/task order projects, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations. Organizes, directs and coordinates the planning and production of contract support activities or the delivery/task order to be managed. Develops plans, schedules, and resource estimates for projects and programs using established project management standards. Establishes and alters (as necessary) management structure to direct effective contract support activities or assigned delivery order projects.  NOTE: This position is co- located with the company in Fairfax, VA and onsite with the government customer in Springfield, VA.
 

Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree

Required Experience: 

  • 5 Years’ experience in program/project management. Including demonstrated experience in
    • Utilizing corporate staffing processes to quickly satisfy government FTE requirements
    • Satisfying government requirements in conducting Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and reporting financial data on government contracts
    • Leading mid-size teams

Functional Responsibility:

The Program Manager will provide the following:

  • Manages 50 staff from both Metronome and subcontractors
  • Serves as the main contract interface, interacting with government customers and senior management on project requirements, deliverables and execution through consistent written and oral communication with multiple stakeholders
  • Defines requirements, assigns resources and manages budgets, schedules and performance to meet staff and program objectives
  • Develops and presents weekly/monthly reports, including process timelines and plans with projections and milestones of process changes and improvements
  • Conducts program analysis, project reviews, operational meetings, briefings and evaluations on a regular basis, relaying data to senior level staff and government stakeholders
  • Interacts with staff, division and operations level management, support personnel, stakeholders and functional peer group managers
  • Delivers daily leadership and program guidance, assessing the performance of program personnel and subcontractors, and coaching/mentoring teams
  • Manages interview processes and hiring tasks to meet talent management objectives
  • Engaged in the capture, bid and proposal activities for the company, including staffing and proposal writing

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

Preferences/Desired Experiences:

  • Over 5 years' experience in program/project management. Including demonstrated experience in: Utilizing corporate staffing processes to quickly satisfy government FTE requirements
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) OR DAWIA Level II in Program Management.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based on client site and/or corporate office setting. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required based on organizational needs.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will/may be required as a condition of hire.
