EHCA is seeking a Community Support Caregiver to provide overall direct/personal care and program services for the Agency’s clients. This is job opportunity in Erie, PA. 

The Community Support Caregiver participates in planning and carrying out individualized client programs. Provides input and assists in planning and guiding clients in social, recreational, work and other activities. Cooks and shops with clients and provide training in such skills. Transports the consumers in Agency and personal vehicles when needed.

The Community Support Caregiver attends staff meetings and participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. Understands and complies with Waiver Program, philosophy, policy and procedures, and with the Department of Health, DPW Regulations. Attends in-service training sessions as required. Works mandatory overtime, as periodically necessary to maintain staffing requirements.

Community Support Caregiver Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Drivers License/personal vehicle
  • Can lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Some travel is required
