Description

Required Security Clearance: Secret required, TS (SCI eligible) preferred.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelors’ degree in technical or business area.

Functional Responsibility:

Support the Navy Government S&T manager through all development phases of Navy C2 systems from RDT&E through delivery and execution of C2 System of Systems. Responsible to interact directly with all levels of the Government Team and their stakeholders and Customers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), PEO, and SPAWAR policies directives, instructions, standards, specifications, and processes. 
  • Desire eight (8) years of combat system/TDL experience in the Navy’s Warfare System Certification and Fleet Modernization program. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of Naval Warfare System Certification process and its application to C2P and Link 16. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of PEO IWS combat system configuration control board and combat system certification and weapon system safety processes and its application to C2P and Link 16.
  • Comprehensive understanding of AEGIS and SSDS.
  • Combat system Baseline Development process and relationship of combat system baseline processes to C2P and Link 16 planning.  Comprehensive understanding of SHIPMAIN process.
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement and installation budgeting process. 
  • New Ship Construction (SCN) Tactical Data Link planning and design experience. 
  • Ability to synthesize combat system and TDL product requirements needed to support all USN ship classes.
  • Ability to apply TDL system engineering skills to development of SCN 7300 cost estimation forms and application of TDL system engineering skills to SCN IPTs. 

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day.

Travel Required: Travel may be required.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will/may be required as a condition of hire.
