Nuclear Medicine Technologist Travel Job:

U.S. Nursing is seeking experienced and self-motivated travel Nuclear Medicine Technologists for a potential strike in the fall.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications:

  • Active and current BLS
  • NMBT
  • Two years of recent experience as Nuclear Medicine Tech, within the past two years.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree program.

In addition you must:

  • Commit to a full 9 days away from home, one U.S. Nursing receives the official 10-days notice.
  • Be available to work ANY shift. U.S. Nursing does not guarantee shift placement.
  • Hand-carry your complete file.
  • Not be CURRENTLY WORKING or IN PROCESS for any Fastaff assignment.

 

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform organ imaging tests, including full skeletal, cardiac blood pool, and major vascular blood pool tests, and cysternograms utilizing gamma cameras, and/or stationary camera devices.
  • Perform complex procedures, including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
  • Explain test procedures and safety precautions to subjects and provide them with assistance during procedures.
  • Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patient and staff.
  • Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians.
  • Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures.
