MRI Technologist Travel Job:

U.S. Nursing is seeking experienced and self-motivated travel MRI Technologists for a potential strike in the fall.

MRI Technologist Qualifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) certification
  • BLS
  • Minimum two years of recent MRI scanning experience, within the past two years.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.

In addition you must:

  • Commit to a full 9 days away from home, one U.S. Nursing receives the official 10-days notice.
  • Be available to work ANY shift. U.S. Nursing does not guarantee shift placement.
  • Hand-carry your complete file.
  • Not be CURRENTLY WORKING or IN PROCESS for any Fastaff assignment.

 

MRI Technologist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment for procedure, check that the scanner is functioning properly and sterilized for the next patient.
  • Greet patients and prepare them for the scans. Obtain patient history for review. Address any questions and concerns of the patient.
  • Mix chemicals for contrast dyes correctly and administer the dyes through intravenous injections.
  • Operate MRI scanning equipment.
  • Read pulse sequences and images.
  • Accurately perform imaging procedures for head and neck, spine, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system.
  • Update patient records with results of scans.
