Radiation Oncology Therapist Travel Job:

U.S. Nursing is seeking experienced and self-motivated travel Radiation Oncology Therapists for a potential strike in the fall.

Radiation Oncology Therapist Qualifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) certification
  • BLS
  • Two years of  experience as a Radiation Oncology Therapist, within the past two years.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.

In addition you must:

  • Commit to a full 9 days away from home, one U.S. Nursing receives the official 10-days notice.
  • Be available to work ANY shift. U.S. Nursing does not guarantee shift placement.
  • Hand-carry your complete file.
  • Not be CURRENTLY WORKING or IN PROCESS for any Fastaff assignment.

Radiation Oncology Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts, using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards.
  • Operate diagnostic or therapeutic medical instruments or equipment.
  • Enter data into computer and set controls to operate or adjust equipment or regulate dosage.
  • Monitor patient conditions during treatments, procedures, or activities
  • Educate, prepare, and reassure patients and their families by answering questions, providing physical assistance, and reinforcing physicians' advice regarding treatment reactions or post-treatment care
  • Maintain records, reports, or files as required, including such information as radiation dosages, equipment settings, or patients' reactions.
