Respiratory Therapist Travel Job:

U.S. Nursing is seeking experienced and self-motivated travel Respiratory Therapists for a potential strike in the fall.

Respiratory Therapist Qualifications:

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Pennsylvania state license
  • BLS
  • Minimum of two years experience as a Respiratory Therapist, within the past two years.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree Reparatory Therapist program.

In addition you must:

  • Commit to a full 9 days away from home, one U.S. Nursing receives the official 10-days notice.
  • Be available to work ANY shift. U.S. Nursing does not guarantee shift placement.
  • Hand-carry your complete file.
  • Not be CURRENTLY WORKING or IN PROCESS for any Fastaff assignment.

 

Respiratory Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Meets patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by conducting pulmonary function tests; assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and by prescription.
  • Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and supports life by administering inhalants; operating mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
  • Administers respiratory therapy treatments.
  • Evaluates effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan.
  • Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
