Echocardiogram Technician Travel Job:

U.S. Nursing is seeking experienced and self-motivated travel Echocardiogram Techs for a potential strike in the fall.

Echo Tech Qualifications:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS
  • BLS
  • Minimum of two years experience as an Echo Tech, within the past two years.
  • High School diploma or GED required and formal training and completing of course work from an accredited Sonography school.

In addition you must:

  • Commit to a full 9 days away from home, one U.S. Nursing receives the official 10-days notice.
  • Be available to work ANY shift. U.S. Nursing does not guarantee shift placement.
  • Hand-carry your complete file.
  • Not be CURRENTLY WORKING or IN PROCESS for any Fastaff assignment.

 

Echo Tech Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviews patient’s medical history and physician’s instructions. Prepares equipment and patient for procedure. Explains procedure to patient and records any medical history that may be relevant to the condition being viewed.
  • Operates special equipment to direct non-ionizing, high-frequency sound waves into areas of the patient’s body.
  • Provides excellent diagnostic echo images, correct views and accurate measurement for Transthoracic Echoes, Stress Echoes, Bubble studies, Definity Studies, and any other testing as ordered by provider.
  • Maintains required and/or assigned records and logs.
