The Role:

Geronimo Energy is seeking an Associate Developer to support utility-scale solar project development activities and program management for the pipeline of projects within the market.

 

What You are Actually Doing: 

  • Work closely with Geronimo Energy’s Development team on various items needed to develop solar projects across the US.
  • Conduct solar site selection and screening.
  • Complete, track and organize interconnection applications and processes.
  • Complete, track and organize program details for submission and acceptance of projects.
  • Follow policies and regulatory changes to identify market issues and solutions.
  • Work and support the needs of the land acquisition and contractor teams.
  • Support the permitting team on obtaining entitlements (land use permits, etc.) for projects.
  • Research local land use ordinances, tax structures, tariffs.
  • Interface with engineering and construction teams.
  • Interpret technical engineering and environmental reports and studies.
  • Develop engineering estimates, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Complete administrative duties as required.
  • Attend evening meetings and public hearings.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.

 

What You Bring to the Role: 

  • 0-5 years of experience in renewable energy development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, natural science, environmental policy/science, economics, or business. Masters level welcomed.
  • Proven ability in Google Earth and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong research skills.
