A growing multinational is seeking to hire qualified engineers to create a new team in Turin, Italy for their autonomous driving solutions:
HD Maps - Lead Engineer - ADAS - AutomotiveThe Automated Driving Advanced Development team is actively searching for support in Mapping and Localization solutions in Turin, Italy.
Responsibilities:- Develop/ model feature functional requirements. Work closely with Feature Owners.
- Support on Map components, Map data, Map updates and provisioning, Map validation, Map matching and fusion techniques, and associated Mapping software.
- Define requirements necessary to develop and integrate Mapping technology and components into STELLANTIS architectures, vehicle platforms (prototype and production), and ECUs. Llose interaction with various engineering domains, including SD/ADAS Navigation mapping, System Architecture, Software Development, Vehicle Connectivity, and Backend services.
- Author technical documents
- Act as the technical interface for Map suppliers
Qualifications:
- Working level knowledge of High Definition (HD) lane level maps required for Highly Automated Driving, inclusive of:
- Mapping techniques
- Accuracy and types of map attribute data and map layering techniques
- Industry utilized data formats and communication protocols such as NDS, ADASIS, ProtoBuf, and SensorIS
- Criticality and management of map freshness and dynamic map layers
- Industry utilized data update methodologies inclusive of crowd source techniques and big data analytics.
- Map data/update validation tools/techniques/methodologies
- Map data scalability to manage low to high content vehicles.
- Qualitative measures to understand the reliability of map data.
- Competitive industry features based upon E-horizon data sets.
- Working level knowledge of SD/ADAS maps
- Working level knowledge of High Precision Localization, SLAM based map matching algorithms, and visualization tools
- Familiar with Stellantis ecosystem
- Able to develop in C/C++
- Ethernet and CAN networking, SOME/IP, REST API, MQTT topics - basic understanding
- Python or MATLAB programming – basic knowledge
- English – working proficiency, Italian language skills desired
- University degree in engineering
- 3-5+ yrs relevant experience in automotive
