Job Title: Biomedical Equipment Technician Level III
Department: Clinical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering
Location: Maine / New England
Position Type: Contract
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Biomedical Engineering Manager- Conduct advanced maintenance, calibration, and repairs on complex biomedical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, utilizing advanced technical knowledge.
- Ensure all biomedical equipment meets industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repair actions.
- Provide mentorship, training, and support to junior technicians and clinical staff.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support, equipment updates, and recalls.
- Participate in the evaluation, planning, and implementation of new biomedical equipment.
- Manage projects related to biomedical equipment installation and upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or DoD BMET School Graduate, Active AAMI ACI credential.
- 5+ years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Expert knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and equipment management systems.
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) strongly preferred.
- Any other relevant certifications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
$ 68,000.00 - $ 75,000.00
3-yeat Contract with options t=for 2 additional years.
