Job Title: Maintenance Helper

SUMMARY


The Maintenance Helper is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and plumbing systems, maintaining hardware, furnishings and specialized equipment and/or performing preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment, multi-zone and heating/ventilating units, exhaust fans and other equipment, construction, maintaining and repairing wood and concrete structures, performing remodel work and maintaining, protecting, preserving, decorating and painting the interior and exterior painted surfaces, structures, equipment and furnishings; performs minor maintenance; does related work ask required. Physical strength and agility are required to lift and carry ladders, power and hand tools and maintenance equipment and to work on ladders, scaffolding. Working conditions may include working a height and in confined spaces.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintaining and adhering to maintenance procedures
  • Carrying out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
  • Checking electrical systems of buildings to ensure functionality and comfort for all clients 
  • Checking plumbing systems of buildings to ensure functionality and comfort for all clients
  • Checking HVAC systems of buildings to ensure functionality and comfort for all clients 
  • Perform all repair and installation activities
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Monitor expenses and adhere to the budget for maintenance
  • Create relationships with contractors and service providers
  • Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
  • Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts
  • Assist in the training of new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
  • Be proactive in managing maintenance issues throughout the facilities

REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as maintenance technician
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Valid certifications will be a plus

Additional responsibilities may be warranted and assigned to you as the company grows in size and locations. You understand that due to the nature of the business of Infinite Recovery, sometimes “off the usual schedule work” is required to meet the needs of the company and its clients.
