Position Summary
The Accounting Operations Specialist II will be responsible for reconciling and processing daily deposits, posting all receivables, researching payments, and analyzing information.


Pay Range
$19.05- $23.81​​​ hourly (depending on experience)

Required Skills, Experience & Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 year of accounting experience preferred.
  • Personal computer knowledge including Excel spreadsheets and word processing.
  • 10-key proficiency of 160 kspm on a computer numeric keypad/calculator and a typing proficiency of 40 wpm
  • Strong understanding of balancing concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, reconciliation, organizational, and detail orientation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, work with frequent interruptions, and shifting priorities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image.
  • Ability to come into work, on time and daily.


Primary Functions:

  • Processes daily stop payment requests from checks issued for Moda and all subsidiary entities. 
  • Processes daily void and reissue requests from our core system Facets.
  • Stop payment requests will be tracked for both claim payments to providers and vendor payments via our internal ERP system SAGE 100.
  • Prepares and completes monthly reconciliation for outstanding check checks not listed on all bank account reconciliation statements.
  • Develops and documents internal policies and procedures as needed to optimize efficiency of department workflow.
  • Responsible for escheatment for all Moda entities which includes complying with all 50 state regulations for due diligence and annual filing deadlines. 
  • Audits and provides appropriate training to team members.
  • Back up our corporate banking staff member with the completion of the daily statement of funds as well as all banking functions performed within U.S. Bank’s Singlepoint platform.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Contact with Others
  • Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard work, constant sitting, and phone work. Must be able to navigate multiple screens. Work in excess of standard work week in order to meet business needs.
  • Internally with all departments and subsidiary companies. Externally with various groups and banks.
