Product Program Manager
 
Job Summary
The Product Program Manager supervises all aspects of the Cookie and Fall Product programs, working with product program volunteers on the community, troop, and parent level. The Product Program Manager contributes to the development of strategies to increase participation in both product programs and is an active member of the Product Program Volunteer Team. 

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervises and manages the Product Program staff.
  • Recruits, trains, and supports Community Cookie Managers, Community Nut Managers, and members to the Product Program Volunteer Team to ensure that all troops/individually registered girls (IRGs) receive information about how to participate in the product program.
  • Develops logistical support for delivery of materials and products with vendors and delivery agents.
  • Manages council cookie warehouse to include inventory, ordering inventory, inventory reports, and cookie warehouse volunteers.
  • Oversees assessment of required program materials; prepares and updates all forms and manuals annually.
  • Participates in development of marketing strategies and materials to increase sales and troop/IRG participation and to keep girls, volunteers and staff informed.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with businesses in GSSWT’s 21 counties to recruit and schedule booths for the cookie program.
  • Monitors product deliveries and incentive orders.
  • Maintains and distributes sales and incentive records to ensure reports are accurate. 
  •  Assists with the intake, processing, and organization of product program paperwork from volunteer agreements and permission slips to final end-of-program paperwork to ensure volunteer compliance with council training and documentation requirements.
  • Oversees the audit of troop end-of-program paperwork and the identification, recording and collection of balance due accounts.
  • Manages and coordinates department budget and corresponding resource allocations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned in support of the council’s mission and goals.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and two to four years of progressive responsibility; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Computer Skills
  • Must be proficient with computer and Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word).
Compensation/Hours:
  • Full-time pay: $21.50/hour and 37.5 hours/week
  • Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas hours of operation are extended and non-traditional, and may vary based on location and/or program requirements. Employees are asked to work the schedule that is best suited to the achievement of program requirements.
  • Licensure/Membership Requirements: The employee is required to maintain membership with Girl Scouts of the United States of America throughout the duration of their employment with GSSWT.
