As one of the largest and most successful Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) in the country, Great Lakes Health Connect manages health information services for 129 hospitals, over 4,000 primary, specialty, and allied care practice offices, and nearly all of Michigan residents. By providing the means in which health information is exchanged between patients and their caregivers, we pride ourselves on improving health outcomes and value for patients, providers, and communities in which we serve. Our organization is growing rapidly, and we have an excellent opportunity for an Integration Analyst in our Grand Rapids office.

 

The Role

The Integration Analyst will assist in the expansion of patient data delivery to healthcare stakeholders, utilizing industry standard HIE technology tools. You will be responsible for providing interface development to meet organizational and customer needs while adhering to the HIE standards. You will follow the system development life cycle, configure and build interfaces using HL7 standards, and coordinate all testing phases throughout the SDLC. You will design new solutions to meet client needs and perform system maintenance and management to assure accurate system information. You will report to the Integration Team Manager and will join our team of Integration Analysts.  

 

Our Ideal Candidate

You must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Application and data integration experience in a healthcare environment would be an advantage. You must be able to effectively drive projects and communicate complex concepts with clients. You must balance a self-motivated and independent work ethic with the desire to train and assist others. Organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are all crucial. Curiosity and ability to think outside the box are important. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
