Position Summary

Under supervision, the Art Instructor will teach printmaking to consumers (adults with varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and intellectual disabilities) in the program.  Implement special education and behavior treatment plans.  

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Implement artistic, educational, and behavioral support plans for assigned consumers, referring to consumers IPP. Ensure consumers&rsquo; well-being during operating hours of the Art Center, while on the premises, and out in the community.  Maintain case notes on a monthly basis and participate in meetings and other in-services as assigned.  Ensure consumers&rsquo; attendance books are accurate and complete.  Provide supervision during consumers&rsquo; arrival, departure, and lunchtime.
Give instruction in the proper use of materials, care, and protection of artwork, production of saleable art, and help consumers to become proficient in printmaking.  Ensure the safe use of equipment, including basic safety measures to be used when working with various print plates and presses, safe operational procedures (ensuring all safety protocols are implemented in operating the presses), etc.  Create any protocols needed for increased safety.  Monitor artist throughout their entire printmaking art project. Assist and instruct consumers on projects related to their IPP (Individual Program Plan) in printmaking. 
Set up/prepare print press to be used daily and maintain equipment; ensure inventory of printmaking supplies are ordered and maintained.  Ensure all art equipment is being properly used and maintained by consumers and assigned studio area is maintained and clean.  Organize consumers&rsquo; portfolios by properly labeling and storing artwork in the appropriate areas. 
Participate in staff meetings to identify and implement artistic, educational, psychological and social objectives for each consumer. 
Follow appropriate protocol and policies in assisting consumers during any incidents or seizures.  Employ NCI procedures as needed to assist consumers who are exhibiting aggressive behavior.  Adhere to ECF&rsquo;s Illness and Injury Prevention Safety Program and follow ECF guidelines for reporting medical emergencies, suspected abuse or neglect and unusual incidents to counseling or supervisory staff.  Implement First Aid/CPR as necessary.  Assist consumers with personal hygiene needs including toileting, illness and incidents of incontinence.
Be available to help promote the Art Centers during work hours.  This includes but is not limited to informing the public of the Art Center mission and services when the public is touring Art Center facilities, asking questions during events, or inquiring about how they can support the program.  Support Art Center events and programs through distribution of materials and information to all interested parties. 
Staff and supervise special exhibits and Art Center work at various locations and times.  Assist in organizing art shows and events which may include matting, framing, and installation and tear down of shows.  Greet the public and assist consumers with presenting and discussing their work with the public.


Other Duties


Comply with ECF&rsquo;s Injury and Illness Prevention Program.  Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment.
Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements.
Regular, reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.


 
Qualifications

Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and demonstrable printmaking and silk screen skills.  
 
Experience:  Six months in any combination of the following: studio work, teaching (including undergrad TA positions), work on public and private art projects, art installations, work in art museums, or any other directly related experience.   
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: 

Knowledge of print press operations and maintenance and the use of various types of plates.
Effective verbal and written communication skills to teach adult artists.
Ability to use public transportation or personal vehicles to transport consumers for community outings.
Availability to teach all consumers in the Art Center Program.

Exposure to odors from acrylic paints, oil base paints, and cleaning and mixing solutions; fine debris from ceramics; mild noise from the kiln and from instructors and artists interacting in an open space. Environment may include frequent interruptions, loud noise, varying indoor temperatures, and drafts.  Exposure to changes in temperature and weather conditions when travelling to art exhibits, other ECF sites, etc.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the safe operation of the school vehicle and for ensuring the safety of student passengers while meeting established bus schedules. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


Transport students in Kayne Eras School vans safely
Transport students & Kayne Eras students/staff on field trips to various locations (as needed)
Drives a school transportation vehicle within a prescribed route(s) in accordance with time schedules, picking up and/or dropping off students at designated stops
Understand KES Transportation guidelines
Have a basic understanding of special-needs kids and their possible behaviors
Have the ability to remain calm and focused in the case of distractions
Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle to ensure safe operating conditions 
Conduct safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily
Reports needed mechanical repairs when necessary
Be reliable and consistent

With minimal supervision, teach independent living skills to consumers in groups and individually, as assigned.   Follow the ILS schedule provided by the ILS Program Administrator.  report any absenteeism immediately to the program supervisor. In the event a client is not available for ILS session, check the logs and find another client that is available for ILS. 


Conduct community-based activities to provide training in actual community settings.  Using public transportation whenever possible, take consumers shopping for groceries, clothes, recreation, and to their medical and dental appointments. 


Document client progress using the billing form, ensuring all progress is documented accurately and in a timely manner, Complete assessments (current level of functioning and needs) on each client entering the program. 


 
Other Duties


Establish and maintain a good working relationship with residents and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the liaison and service point for hiring managers during the talent acquisition life cycle.
Guide and collaborate with hiring managers in updating existing, or the creation of new job descriptions, the development of job offers; based on verified experience, education and competencies for the position, as well as providing recommendations for wages, based on ECF&rsquo;s salary/wage matrix and market surveys.
Manage the scheduling and conducting of phone screenings and in person interviews when applicable; with questions sourced by position requirements and the job description, while also rating candidates and providing guidance to the hiring manager; and when approved, producing and extending an offer letter, and scheduling the applicant for the new hire orientation.
Responsible for maintaining and updating recruitment/applicant tracking portal, including updated requisitions, and the timeliness of applicant status, etc. and track all internal transfers following the internal transfer process.
Ensure the scheduling of pre-employment meetings with final candidates, and explain the hiring process and provide documents or obtain signatures, including the processing of requests for prescribed background checks, DOJ clearance, TB testing etc.
Process Staffing Requisitions to open recruitments and Personnel Action Requests (PARs) for transfers, changes, and terminations. Complete the e-forms and route for signatures.  Ensure all paperwork related to the personnel action is submitted to the appropriate department(s) in a timely manner.  Conduct follow up as needed. 
Assist with various projects including Open Enrollment, annual trainings, mailings, and special projects.  Provide back-up for New Employee Orientation as needed.  Create badges for new employees and replace badges as needed.

Position Summary

Under direction the CDS will provide services to children ages birth to 36 months, who have or are at risk of having developmental delays, and their families in a manner that is congruent with ECF&rsquo;s mission.  
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan individual programs, conduct case management, and evaluate progress.  Employ trans-disciplinary approach to programming, conferring with team members and specialists.  Conduct assessments, determine goals and objectives, and track due dates for same.  Maintain a telephone log of all client-related calls in each client&rsquo;s file.


Develop a curriculum based on individual plan and goals that includes instructional grouping patterns and reinforcement techniques.  Make or otherwise secure instructional materials based on client&rsquo;s goals and objectives.  Modify curriculum and materials as needed to achieve client&rsquo;s success.  Prepare weekly lesson and activity plans that employ a balance between established routines and novel activities.  Understand components of classroom climate and create and maintain an environment that is attractive, safe, and conducive to learning.


Ensure the safe and regular care of clients which includes toileting, diapering, feeding, and changing clothes, Provide direct supervision of clients at all times. Maintain the site in a neat and orderly manner ensuring safety is a priority.  Supervise and assist with daily set up and clean up per the classroom schedule and assist with site set up and clean up routines as assigned.  Ensure all equipment and toys are disinfected daily. 


Provide Regional Center case management.  Ensure the timely and regular documentation of center-based and/or home visit case notes, required reports, emails and evaluations-program goals. Complete paperwork (002) when clients&rsquo; services change.


Write and update reports including developmental assessments, goals, progress notes, closing summaries, and other reports in professional report format as needed and as scheduled. Email to Regional Center counselors and place all documentations in client&rsquo;s charts. 


Follow home visit and center-based guidelines and policies and report concerns to the program manager.  Complete home visit notes daily and obtain parent signatures.  Attach copy to monthly attendance record and place in client&rsquo;s file, and as directed by each program.


Work with Parents and maintain regular communication to ensure they are informed of meetings, incidents, child&rsquo;s progress, etc.  Answer questions or refer to the Program Manager.  Provide information for and attend parent meetings and goal report meetings.  Keep the Program Manager informed of all parental concerns, issues, and communications and coordinate plans to address issues with the program manager.  Assist parents as needed with transition plans, including visiting potential or new programs with the family. It is important to have good and appropriate dialogue with families.


Report any suspected child abuse as mandated by California law and immediately to the program manager.  Assist with follow-up as needed.  Report client incidents and injuries to the program manager or other administrator immediately and conduct follow-up.  


Attend and participate in meetings as scheduled, including staff meetings, supervision meetings, safety meetings, and in-service trainings. Prepare for and participate in IFSP, transition, and other client meetings.


Other Duties

Provide comprehensive occupational therapy case management and prescribe services for all OT assessed students in a manner that is congruent with ECF&rsquo;s mission.  This includes reviewing and understanding student history, current needs of student, and preparation of treatment plans relevant to current goals.  
Prepare and present IEP&rsquo;s to parents and team members.  Use alternate forms of communication as needed to provide updates. 
Communicate and consult in a tactful and diplomatic manner with students, parents and co-workers at all times. Initiate consultation with school staff and other providers. Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team.  The occupational therapist is not only responsible for the basic theory and skill of his or her discipline, but also must have a basic knowledge of the skills of the other team members. 
Ensure documentation accurately reflects current client status, treatment modalities, techniques, response to treatment and changes in client status. Perform regular client evaluations, reassessing client&rsquo;s status and modify treatment plan as appropriate. 
Organize and implement a home exercise program for all approved clients receiving OT services.

Summary of Duties:


Attend to the personal needs of residents in a respectful and caring manner. Assist with residents&rsquo; personal hygiene needs including, but not limited to toileting, bathing, dressing, and incidents of incontinence, and changing bedding if necessary. Ensure residents are appropriately groomed by following individual service plan (ISP) goals and recommended prompting levels. Assist and support residents with daily chores including changing sheets and doing laundry.


Supervise residents during meal preparation, ensuring adherence to menus and diet. Encourage family-style dining by eating with the residents during regular mealtimes.


Be familiar with the residents&rsquo; Individual Program Plan (IPP) objectives and ensure the plan is followed, participating with prompts/actions when required. Write progress reports on ISP objectives on a daily basis. Maintain communication with the Residential Manager and consultants; share pertinent information with oncoming staff.


Administer medications to residents, following the medication administration policy. Report discrepancies to the Registered Nurse (RN) and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) immediately.


Interact with the residents when on the premises or during community outings (medical appointments or social outings). Transport residents in a 12-15 passenger van to social activities and medical appointments. Transfer and ambulate residents as determined by their IPP using appropriate methods and body mechanics.


Follow posted cleaning schedule to ensure that all common areas of the home are clean and well-maintained. Perform household tasks as assigned, including but not limited to: completing food service tasks, laundry, etc.



QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Two years direct service with special needs population.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:


Successfully pass a reading, writing, and English comprehension test.

Position Summary
Provide speech and language therapy for funded students and support the teachers and classroom staff in program design, especially as it pertains to the incorporation of speech and language orientations in the classroom. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assess speech and language needs of students as well as provide speech therapy based on student sessions, classroom observation, Individualized Education Program (IEP), and consultation with teachers and parents.  Assess student/client needs and progress at least quarterly and complete required Quarterly Progress Reports. 
Coordinate educational therapy schedule with classroom teachers and aides, school counselors and other relevant staff. 
Assess student needs initially and periodically. Establish individual student goals and objectives based on: IEPs, prior assessments, educational therapy assessments, and information obtained from teachers and other relevant staff. Conduct pre and post assessments. 
Attend weekly educational therapy staff meetings. Maintain a regular work schedule. Be available to students and supervisor during regular work hours. Submit timecards and other relevant administrative paperwork on time. 
Maintain and expand expertise in educational therapy by keeping abreast with ET practices. Share knowledge with co-workers and seek others&rsquo; expertise and incorporate into work with students. Serve as an ongoing resource to teachers including: reading about current research in interventions for learning disabilities, familiarity with various remedial programs, managing difficult behaviors, enhancing motivation, and training staff.

Other Duties

Comply with ECF&rsquo;s Injury and Illness Prevention Program.  Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment.

Observe regular, on-site work hours.

Qualifications
Education/Licenses/Certifications:  Master&rsquo;s degree in Speech and Language Pathology.  Current license from the Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.  
Alternative Education: Associate&rsquo;s Degree in SLPA or hold a Bachelor&rsquo;s in Communication Disorders, plus complete 100 hours of clinical fieldwork
Experience:  Preferred 3 years in service delivery programs for children with a wide range of disorders and ages; one year experience supervising speech therapists.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge of education, health practices, procedures, and techniques used in all areas of speech and language to children with a range of disabilities and their families/caregivers.
Communicate, orally and in writing, in an effective and diplomatic manner with a wide range of clientele, service providers, families and other agencies; 
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues and materials; 
Work well in a team-oriented environment; and 
Frequent use of computer required for data input and report writing (Welligent, MS Word, etc.).

Driving is an essential function of this position. Valid California driver&rsquo;s license, reliable transportation, evidence of car insurance, and insurable driving record. Motorcycles are not permitted while driving for ECF, may only be used when commuting to and from your home to main worksite.

Work Environment

Position Summary

Under direction the CDS will provide services to children ages birth to 36 months, who have or are at risk of having developmental delays, and their families in a manner that is congruent with ECF&rsquo;s mission.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Plan individual programs, conduct case management, and evaluate progress.  Employ trans-disciplinary approach to programming, conferring with team members and specialists.  Conduct assessments, determine goals and objectives, and track due dates for same.  Maintain a telephone log of all client-related calls in each client&rsquo;s file.


Develop a curriculum based on individual plan and goals that includes instructional grouping patterns and reinforcement techniques.  Make or otherwise secure instructional materials based on client&rsquo;s goals and objectives.  Modify curriculum and materials as needed to achieve client&rsquo;s success.  Prepare weekly lesson and activity plans that employ a balance between established routines and novel activities.  Understand components of classroom climate and create and maintain an environment that is attractive, safe, and conducive to learning.


Ensure the safe and regular care of clients which includes toileting, diapering, feeding, and changing clothes, Provide direct supervision of clients at all times.  Manage and assist with arrival and departure supervision and loading/unloading buses as needed.  Ensure snacks are prepared daily. Center-based Only


Supervise classroom staff.  Plan and organize activities to maximize student-centered utility of teacher&rsquo;s aides and other staff.  Clearly communicate assignments and expectations.  Share and review client and program information with staff weekly. Center-based only.


Maintain the site in a neat and orderly manner ensuring safety is a priority.  Supervise and assist with daily set up and clean up per the classroom schedule and assist with site set up and clean up routines as assigned.  Ensure all equipment and toys are disinfected daily. 


Provide Regional Center case management.  Ensure the timely and regular documentation of center-based and/or home visit case notes, required reports, emails and evaluations-program goals. Complete paperwork (002) when clients&rsquo; services change.


Write and update reports including developmental assessments, goals, progress notes, closing summaries, and other reports in professional report format as needed and as scheduled. Email to Regional Center counselors and place all documentations in client&rsquo;s charts. 


Follow home visit and center-based guidelines and policies and report concerns to the program manager.  Complete home visit notes daily and obtain parent signatures.  Attach copy to monthly attendance record and place in client&rsquo;s file, and as directed by each program.


Work with Parents and maintain regular communication to ensure they are informed of meetings, incidents, child&rsquo;s progress, etc.  Answer questions or refer to the Program Manager.  Provide information for and attend parent meetings and goal report meetings.  Keep the Program Manager informed of all parental concerns, issues, and communications and coordinate plans to address issues with the program manager.  Assist parents as needed with transition plans, including visiting potential or new programs with the family. It is important to have good and appropriate dialogue with families.


Report any suspected child abuse as mandated by California law and immediately to the program manager.  Assist with follow-up as needed.  Report client incidents and injuries to the program manager or other administrator immediately and conduct follow-up.  


Attend and participate in meetings as scheduled, including staff meetings, supervision meetings, safety meetings, and in-service trainings. Prepare for and participate in IFSP, transition, and other client meetings.


Other Duties

Position Summary
This position prepares the candidate to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), also known as a Behavior Therapist.

A Behavior Therapist (RBT) is a paraprofessional who implements behavior change interventions under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. A Registered Behavior Technician is primarily responsible for direct 1:1 implementation of treatment plans related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction as well as data collection procedures. Skills targeted typically include communication, social, and daily living skills along with any other skills which make a socially significant change in the child&rsquo;s individual, family, and community life. A behavior therapist also provides support, feedback on session structure and practicality of program implementation. Children served vary in ages and are mostly diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.

Training will consist of:

Completing a 40-hour online training course, with support from a qualified supervisor.
Completing a Competency Assessment given by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). 
Passing the exam to become a Registered Behavior Technician.
After becoming a Registered Behavior Technician, Trainee will work/train for an additional 50 hours, with clients.
After successful completion of the program, Trainee will be re-classified as a regular Behavior Therapist- Registered Behavior Technician, and hourly rate will change accordingly. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Complete the traineeship requirements successfully (95 hrs.) within 6 months; acceleration is determined by supervisor and documented in Traineeship Agreement. Demonstrate ability to: implement behavior plans with fidelity, collect data and daily notes documenting child&rsquo;s progress, and work with supervisor (give and receive feedback) on program implementation.

Assist in the creation and presentation of HR trainings as appropriate and directed by the Director of Human Resources.

 

Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

 

In collaboration with Job Coach and Consumer&rsquo;s Supervisor, provide direction to consumer trainee(s). Prepare work in advance and explain tasks in a manner that is clear to the consumer.

 

Track staff medical (TB Test, Physical, etc.), license, and other compliance items on Expiration Reminder system and correspond with staff and supervisors as necessary to update records.  Audit system as necessary.  

 

Assist with various projects including Open Enrollment, annual trainings, mailings, and special projects.  Additional audits as required, related to data entry, employee files, tracking systems, etc. and other processes to support the HR team.

 

Provide routine paperwork including but not limited to unemployment claims, employment verification inquiries and other correspondence following ECF guidelines to Insperity PEO for processing.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Attend to the personal needs of residents in a respectful and caring manner. Assist with residents&rsquo; personal hygiene needs including, but not limited to toileting, bathing, dressing, incidents of incontinence, and changing bedding if necessary. Ensure residents are appropriately groomed by following individual service plan (ISP) goals and recommended prompting levels. Assist and support residents with daily chores including changing sheets and doing laundry. 
Supervise residents during meal preparation, ensuring adherence to menus and diet. Encourage family-style dining by eating with the residents during regular mealtimes. 
Be familiar with the residents&rsquo; Individual Program Plan (IPP) objectives and ensure the plan is followed, participating with prompts/actions when required. Write progress reports on ISP objectives on a daily basis. 
Administer medications to residents, following the medication administration policy. Report discrepancies to the Registered Nurse (RN) and Residential Programs Manager immediately. 
Report all pertinent information regarding client care to the RN and Residential Programs Manager as appropriate. Document all pertinent information using the client data collection book and staff communication log.  
Interact with the residents when on the premises or during community outings (medical appointments or social outings). 
Follow staff assignment schedule, ensure you complete all tasks for your assigned clients. 
Follow posted cleaning schedule to ensure that all common areas of the home are clean and well-maintained. 
Perform household tasks as assigned, including but not limited to: completing food service tasks, laundry, etc. 
Transport residents in a 12-15 passenger van to social activities and medical appointments.

To encourage family style dining, all staff must eat with the clients during regular mealtimes.  Additionally, staff must eat the same food as the clients (except for medical reasons, allergies, etc.).
Staff may only eat at scheduled mealtimes and may not prepare snacks, etc., for personal consumption outside of their mealtime.
When a field trip/outing falls at mealtime, staff will be given $7.00 for the cost of food; any additional cost must be paid by the staff.  Staff also have the choice of preparing and taking food from the facility for consumption during a field trip/outing.
When the field trip/outing falls outside of the mealtime, staff may not use the facility money to purchase snacks/drinks.  They may take a personal drink from the facility.
This is a 24-hour licensed residential home and as such does not allow for closure during various holidays. Therefore, employees who cannot be excused from their duties on a fixed holiday will be granted another day off during the same or following work week, at a mutually convenient time arranged between the employee and the supervisor OR the employee will be paid their straight-time rate of pay for hours actually worked on the holiday plus the regular holiday pay for the day.  Employees are expected to work their regular shift during the holidays unless other arrangements have been made.
Licensing regulations do not allow unauthorized persons on the premises.  Accordingly, staff may not have visitors/guests; this includes overnight visitors/guests. 
On-duty staff must stay on the premises and be available in the event a consumer(s) requires assistance.
Personal phone calls should not be made during regular work hours.  In the event a personal emergency arises, and a personal call needs to be made, the call-waiting feature on the telephone must be utilized.  Additionally, ECF must be reimbursed for all personal toll calls.

Position Summary

 
The HR &ndash; Generalist/ Training Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, including employee training, employee relations, benefits, and compliance. Position Summary

 
The Community Integration Specialist will provide direct supervision, training and evaluation of participants' preferred community-based activity. The Specialist will work with participants to integrate them into the community and enhance their quality of life as a valued member of society.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Provide supervision and serve as job coach to program participants while facilitating their full inclusion in the volunteer placement, recreation, and employment sites of their choosing. Play an integral part in participant community integration into the surrounding communities while enhancing their quality of life. Provide behavioral intervention to participants through appropriate methods as designated through NCI Training and overall goals. Integrating participants with a 1-2 ratio in person-centered community activities including exploring community resources based on participant choice, job exploring, productive recreational activities as indicated in curriculum and managing contacts to cultivate, grow and in maintaining each relationship. Healthy lifestyle will be supported by community agency partnerships, both in-house and in the community. Will assist participants to become self-advocates and independent through self-determination.

 

Use public transportation, personal vehicle or ECF vehicles to transport participants to volunteer commitments, community activities and events. Maintain ECF vehicle logs, perform regular maintenance checks, and report issues immediately to the program manager.

 

Provide supervision, training, and evaluation of participants' choice of volunteer and community-based activities. Teach new skills identified in the participants' Individual Program Plan (IPP) including but not limited to self-help, communication, gross and fine motor, vocational, pre-employment, cognitive, social-  emotional skills and in identifying and accessing important community resources. Assist in the development of motivational techniques and in improving work skills of participants.

 

Establish, coordinate, and implement person-centered community activities with guidance and support from the case management team. Maintain participant documentation to include but not limited to daily, monthly, and quarterly evaluations as directed by case manager. Document unusual incidents through case notes/SIR reporting.

 

Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Classroom
&bull; Manage the educational program for each student in the assigned classroom. To implement educational programs that apply strategies and skills that assist students in meeting and progressing IEP goals and district and State requirements.
&bull; Establish individual student goals and objectives and coordinate these with other services being provided to the student, using the appropriate school district form. Write detailed daily lesson plans with daily objectives, materials, methods, and activities. Assess individual students in all curriculum areas relevant to the IEP twice a year and document in the progress reports.
&bull; Manage the educational program for each student in the assigned classroom. To implement educational programs that apply strategies and skills that assist students in meeting and progressing IEP goals and district and State requirements.
&bull; Maintain a positive learning environment that fosters students&rsquo; personal responsibility and participation in planning as appropriate.
&bull; Develop appropriate and complementary activities (i.e., field trips or presentations) coordinating these with other school programs and ensuring that they comply with school policies.
&bull; Maintain communication between the classroom team, principal, and the school administrative staff, especially in regard to student information and attendance, class schedule changes, and the changing needs of the students and the classroom program.

Parents

&bull; Communicate with each parent prior to the IEP meeting to ensure that they can attend; be prepared to discuss and present the student&rsquo;s goals and objectives, current work samples, and test protocols.
&bull; Hold at least one progress conference yearly with the family of each student.
School
&bull; Supervise, train, and assist aides, interns, volunteers, or other trainees serving in assigned classroom.
&bull; Communicate assignments and expectations, maintain accurate attendance records, complete performance evaluations, and initiate disciplinary actions.
&bull; Participate in school committees, programs, and activities as requested. Attend Fall Back-to-School Night and Spring Open House events.
&bull; Attend faculty meetings, core, and team meetings as directed.
&bull; Participate in required training including dispensing of medication, mandated reporting, behavior management, confidentiality/HIPAA, etc.
&bull; Implement First Aid/CPR as necessary; initiate approved NCI procedures when dealing with students in crisis.
&bull; Dispense medication as directed per the student&rsquo;s prescription.

POSITION SUMMAY:
Under the supervision of the program manager, assist in evaluating and developing an appropriate treatment method for consumers ages birth to three years of age.  Ideally, we would like a fulltime candidate, but we would be open to a part-time PT if the availability makes sense for our client and family needs.

Essential Duties:

Provide comprehensive physical therapy case management for all eligible clients.  Perform initial client evaluation by utilizing appropriate evaluation techniques/ tests and performing advanced clinical tests as necessary to determine eligibility for Regional Center services.  Identify relevant problem areas, abnormal findings and notify appropriate personnel in order to facilitate appropriate intervention. Organize and implement a home exercise program for all clients receiving physical therapy services.
Gather pertinent information regarding client&rsquo;s condition by performing on-going evaluations and set realistic goals based upon evaluation findings. Identify special needs of child and request consultation regarding diet and nutrition or medical problems. Perform ongoing client evaluation, reassessing client&rsquo;s status and modify treatment plan as appropriate.
Ensure ongoing documentation is completed within program guidelines and accurately reflects current client status, treatment modalities, techniques, response to treatment, changes in client status, and advanced skill level being utilized in evaluating client progress and response to treatment.  Document client treatment and participate in patient conferences.
Upon completion of treatment plan, implement 1:1 and group treatment sessions, and actively attempt to motivate client&rsquo;s participation in treatment.
Communicate information about child and the techniques used in handling him to other staff members and to parents on a daily basis and in parent/infant sessions.  In staff meetings with other team members plan parental approaches and courses of action to deal with specific parent/child difficulties.
Attend staff meetings and in-service sessions.  Provide input/training to site staff and provide gross motor information as needed.  Provide staff training/development as needed.  Act as clinical instructor, supervisor for PT Aides and students.
Function as a member of the trans-disciplinary team.  With other team members and parents, develop referral sources for children after three years of age.  This may include visits to other programs and schools to assess appropriateness of curriculum for child&rsquo;s developmental level.  Assist child and family during the transition period.  Evaluate children who have left the program as part of follow-up study if and when required.
Organize and implement a continuing program of parent education, dealing with special topics of parental concern as they arise, by site.

      <description><![CDATA[Position: Job Coach - Part-time
Reports To: Program Manager
Work Location: Vary depending on clients and department needs- Working typically in afternoon and early evening hours
Compensation: $19.50 - $22.50 per hour - DOE
Schedule: 20 - 29 hours per week/ Flexible schedule, can vary depending on department needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Seeking an individual to provide individualized vocational training to consumers (adults with varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities) and organize all aspects of job site placements under supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Assist case management staff in the development and implementation of the vocational plan for each consumer. Develop daily work schedules of tasks to be performed by consumers and monitor for quality and completion. Circulate in consumers&rsquo; work area at least 80% of workday and maintain detailed and accurate records/progress notes on consumer work habits, skills, behaviors, etc.
Act as a role model and teach job tasks to consumers and monitor quality control of work performed. Teach consumers good work habits and skills necessary to succeed on the job such as the importance of punctuality, good attendance, following instructions, communication, getting along with co-workers and supervisors, social and interpersonal skills, and self care skills (hygiene and grooming), etc.
Teach independent living skills related to work. This may include travel training (use of public transportation), basic money management (counting money, receiving change), self-advocacy (communicating needs, wants & desires), etc. In consultation with supervisor handle job site complaints and problems. May transport and/or accompany consumers on public transportation.
Develop working knowledge about job site company policies, work duties and responsibilities. Ensure quality control standards of job site contract specifications are maintained. Ensure that all machinery (vacuum cleaner, extension cords, copiers, etc.) are in safe operating condition prior to use and that all safety guards (wet floor signs, etc.) are in place as needed. Correct and/or report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.


QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent,
Experience: One year teaching/coaching/instructing individuals (preferably adults) with developmental, learning, emotional or physical disabilities in a direct client service position.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
&bull; Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and/or experience with implementation of other behavioral programs
&bull; Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
&bull; Ability to work independently and as part of a team and follow instructions of supervisor and department director
&bull; Basic computer skills
&bull; Always maintain a professional image and courteous demeanor.
 
REQUIREMENTS


Driving is an essential function of this position. Proof of valid California driver&rsquo;s license, reliable transportation, evidence of state-mandated car insurance, and insurable driving record are required. While driving for work, should a need arise, the employee&rsquo;s insurance is deemed primary and ECF&rsquo;s coverage is secondary.
Driving Disclaimer- Employees driving for company business must maintain a clean record and operate vehicles safely and responsibly. Company vehicles will be monitored and activity recorded. Violations of the driving policy may result in disciplinary action, including suspension of driving privileges, reassignment, or termination.
Provide evidence of a negative TB test
Obtain and maintain certification for CPR/First Aid and NCI
Knowledge of and adherence to Material Safety Data Sheets may be required depending on job site requirements.


WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a program for adults who have varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities. Employee may encounter consumers who are in crisis, exhibiting emotional/psychological distress or behaving in an aggressive manner. Work environment varies by work site. Work sites include supermarkets, offices, industrial kitchens, landscaping of industrial building grounds, janitorial services in industrial buildings, etc. Assignments are based on program need and involve multiple jobsites (individual placement). Individual placements require employee to spend up to 40% of work shift driving.

Vision to read printed materials and computer screen
Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
Modeling tasks (hand on hand training), extensive bending, pushing, pulling, reaching (including overhead reaching), and ability to circulate in work area to teach, monitor and perform quality assurance duties
Push consumers in wheelchairs and assist non-ambulatory consumers with transferring to and from wheelchairs with assistance
May require extensive walking, and going up/down stairs, and lifting of supplies/equipment
Lift/move/push/pull up to 50 pounds (floor scrubber/unloading equipment from trucks, etc.) with assistance
Ability to operate automobile depending on job site and program needs.
