Key Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with other departments to respond to RFIs, submittals, IGCEs, and ASIs quickly.
Facilitate departmental interactions between project DORs, design managers, QAQC, and cost estimating.
Mentor other staff and offer feedback and support on skill improvement.

All aspects of projects will be under supervision from Senior Interior Designer and Interiors Practice Leader. 
Participates with the Project Manager, Architects, Interior Designers, design team, in consultation with all aspects associated with projects including project meetings and design.
Lead various tasks related to design and build inclusive of, but not limited to, sourcing finishes, furniture and lighting, space planning, concept research, design development, documentation, and construction administration with direct supervision of Lead Interior designer on project.
The successful candidate will plan and communicate effectively to facilitate collaboration among clients, designers, architects and engineers to successfully accomplish projects.
Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
Help to develop organizational systems to continue to better the company and design department as well as researching new products and systems, finishes, and furniture.  
Uses computer assisted drafting (Revit and CAD) equipment and software
General knowledge and understanding of product usage and appropriateness related to casework, millwork, finishes and furniture/equipment.
Uses InDesign, Enscape and Photoshop to create color renderings, color boards and other presentation material for Interiors.
Meeting with finish and material representatives and upkeep of materials library.
Mentored by Senior Interior Designer and Interiors Practice Leader to build the character and capability of the team.
Maintain constant professional communications with clients, project team, consultants, and managers.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the design process from concept to completion, ensuring projects meet high-quality standards, achieve desired outcomes, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Develop innovative and impactful design solutions that elevate the lives of our users/clients.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, such as NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 72, ANSI/TIA standards, and local regulations.
Prepare and review system specifications for Electrical and ICT systems, including material requirements, installation methods, and performance standards.
Designs electrical and telecommunication systems for healthcare with normal, backup and emergency power systems, including generators, uninterruptible power supplies and transfer switches.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure electrical power, lighting, and low voltage systems are integrated into the overall building design.
Direct and mentor designers and junior engineers in the preparation of electrical power, lighting, and ICT system designs, specifications, and documentation.
Plan and Direct designers on effective execution of design tasks, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback.
Displays understanding of arc-flash calculation and/or medium voltage distribution in design
Correctly applies knowledge of power distribution, three phase systems, short circuit calculations, and breaker coordination in designs
Challenge and inspire those around them to grow, thrive, and contribute meaningfully.
Actively seek out opportunities for professional development and stay abreast of the latest design trends and technologies.
Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000 Annually
Qualifications:

Healthcare Experience is preferred but not required.
Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in engineering preferred.
Experience: Experience: Minimum six years&rsquo; experience in the A/E industry plus (two years licensed), with proven specific experience in healthcare projects
Computer Skills: Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite
Travel: up to 20% depending on project
