In this role, you will uphold the luxury standards and service philosophies of Nobu Hospitality by ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces meet the hotel&rsquo;s established cleanliness and presentation standards prior to guest arrival.
The Housekeeping Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining the overall guest experience through detailed inspections, quality assurance, and collaboration with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office teams. We are seeking individuals with a positive attitude, exceptional communication skills, and the flexibility to support operational needs in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.

Essential Functions

Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and brand standards.
Inspect guest rooms, suites, hallways, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and functionality meet Nobu standards.
Verify room readiness prior to guest arrival, including VIP and special request accommodations.
Identify and report maintenance deficiencies, safety concerns, and cleanliness issues to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
Ensure housekeeping attendants consistently follow established cleaning procedures and quality standards.
Assist in training and coaching housekeeping team members on cleanliness standards, organization, and presentation expectations.
Monitor linen, guest supplies, and amenities to ensure proper placement and inventory levels.
Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and assist in resolving guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all guest rooms and hotel information.
Utilize hotel systems and inspection tools to document room status updates and operational notes.
Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and Housekeeping leadership to prioritize room turnover and guest satisfaction.
Maintain complete knowledge and proper use of all housekeeping equipment and cleaning products.
Other duties as assigned.

Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional judgment, a calm demeanor, and a guest-first mindset while maintaining the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
VIP & Guest Security

Escort high-profile and VIP guests to and from the hotel, ensuring privacy and safety at all times.
Coordinate private and secure access routes in partnership with the Front Office and Valet teams.
Maintain a polished, composed presence and uphold confidentiality standards at all times.

Hotel Safety & Surveillance

Conduct regular patrols of all guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and hotel perimeters to ensure security standards are maintained.
Monitor all surveillance and alarm systems to detect unauthorized activity or potential hazards.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies including fire alarms, disturbances, accidents, or medical situations.

Incident Management & Reporting

Complete accurate and timely incident reports, nightly logs, and shift summaries.
Assist in investigations as directed by leadership, including gathering witness statements and reviewing footage.
Maintain detailed logs of access to sensitive areas, deliveries, and after-hours employee activity.

Team & Property Support

Provide security presence at VIP events, private functions, and deliveries as required.
Support front office and operational teams with guest assistance when needed.
Enforce hotel policies professionally and tactfully with both guests and staff.


Qualifications:

Security, law enforcement, or military experience; prior hospitality or luxury hotel experience preferred.
Proven ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and guest service skills.
Must have a certified Georgia security certificate or successfully obtain certification within 45 days of employment.
CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required (or must obtain within 30 days).
Familiarity with security systems, surveillance equipment, and emergency response protocols.
Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.


Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for long periods, including up and down stairs.

Responsible for maintaining the general condition of the property with regards to all aspects of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and painting work. Complete maintenance request work order from all departments on a timely basis. Participate in the preventive maintenance program for all-building equipment and rooms. 
Complete other special projects assigned periodically by the Director of Engineering. 
Essential Functions 


Carry out all duties that are necessary in resolving reactionary activities and report the need for further maintenance and safety to the Supervisor. 




Ensure the proper use of all tools in the workshop for cutting, bending and welding of equipment 




Assist less skilled workers in different phases of work. 




Carry out repairs on ceiling, floors and walls by combining plaster of spackle and painting. 




Take out sheets and replace them with Sheetrock and finish seams. 




Ensure proper repair and finishing of doors, desks, tables, chairs and other furniture in the Hotel ensure comfort of Guest and Staff. 




Repair and change locks in the Hotel to ensure the safety of all. 




Climb ladders to reach heights of 30&rsquo;. 




Changing of air filters. 




Check work orders daily and complete assignments on a timely fashion in order of priority. 




Ability to maintain inventories and assess needs and areas for repair. 


 
Other Duties 
All Engineers are required to fully comply with hotel and departmental rules, regulations and policies for the safe, secure, effective and environmentally friendly operations of the hotel facilities. Examples include, but are not limited to lost and found procedures, emergency procedures, recycling efforts, etc. 
Attend and participate in all hotel and/or departmental meetings, trainings sessions and other information meetings. 
Regular attendance in conformance with hotel standards is essential to the successful performance of this position. 
Comply with hotel grooming standards for both uniformed and non-uniformed engineers
Comply with hotel service and behavioral standards towards our guest, vendors and fellow engineers, including, but not limited to ensuring proper phone etiquette, courteous and respectful behavior and maintaining a friendly and positive attitude. 
Perform all other duties as directed by management that are consistent with the policies and procedures of the hotel.

High school Diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required 




Experience: 


Experience in building maintenance, electric work, plumbing and refrigeration. Prior experience within a four-star hotel brand preferred. 




Computer Skill & Other Technical Skills: 


Ability to learn and utilize computer software and hardware required. 




Communication: 


Ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional language(s) preferred.
