      <description><![CDATA[Basic Job Functions:
Performs mechanical set ups and maintenance tasks on assigned production lines to ensure its smooth operation. Is knowledgeable on each individual component of a production line and the correct set up for interaction and connection between them for maximum efficiency. Performs preventative maintenance and participates in training programs, as required.
 
Essential Functions of the Job:
&middot; Packaging Mechanic level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Packaging Mechanic Skill Level Chart.
&middot; Set up full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment, independently
&middot; Supervise subordinate mechanical personnel and assist in trouble shooting and training
&middot; Generate Purchase Requisitions for materials and parts needed
&middot; Interact with Management to assist in new project quotation generation by providing input on equipment choices, potential capital purchases or improvements and estimated output.
&middot; Other Duties:
o Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Minimum Requirements of the Job:
&middot; Fluency in written and spoken English
&middot; Substantial experience working with packaging equipment
&middot; Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work cooperatively and effectively with co-workers
&middot; Ability to provide clear instructions
&middot; Ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures and communicate their requirements to others
&middot; Ability to judge when equipment has been sanitized and correctly set up
&middot; Complete knowledge of tools and basic machinery operation
&middot; Ability to work around solvents and chemicals needed for sanitization tasks
&middot; Ability to work with hot water (+/- 180 degrees F) safely
&middot; Ability to originate Equipment Set Up Sheets
 
Physical Requirements:
&middot; Strength sufficient to lift up to 60 lbs
&middot; Ability to push a 55 gallon drum full of bulk product up to six feet
&middot; Ability to stand on concrete floors for full shift period
&middot; Ability to hear speech and/or alarms through plant noise
&middot; Possess peripheral vision
&middot; Eyesight with or without corrective lenses, able to discern different characters of small type for coder set ups
&middot; Must be able to recognize colors and shades of color
&middot; Physical mobility to reach overhead, at shoulder and waist level and below waist
&middot; Must have manual dexterity to unfasten and fasten large and small parts together using hand tools
&middot; Must not be allergic to chemicals and solvents used for sanitizations
&middot; Ability to work overtime or extended shifts as needed

What You&rsquo;ll Do
&middot;       Lead the full lifecycle of new product launches from initial quoting and feasibility through validation, production, and final shipment, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, and budget while meeting commercial, operational, regulatory, and customer satisfaction requirements.
&middot;       Oversee the end-to-end quotation process in partnership with Sales, R&D, Lab Services, Finance, Operations, and Procurement by consolidating inputs including materials, tooling, pilots, trials, labor, and capacity, validating feasibility, cost, and timing prior to customer approval, and maintaining organized records of quotes, revisions, and approvals.
&middot;       Drive alignment and accountability across cross-functional teams by defining deliverables, dependencies, and milestones, partnering with Scheduling and Supply Chain to secure material readiness, line time, and capacity for pilots, validations, and first production runs, and translating customer requirements into executable internal plans.
&middot;       Monitor overall project health and KPIs, identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies, lead stage-gate meetings and contribute to S&OP planning, and escalate issues proactively with clear, data-driven recommendations.
&middot;       Drive right-first-time performance by ensuring materials, tooling, validation activities, and documentation are accurate, approved, and production-ready prior to launch.
&middot;       Design, implement, and refine best practices for launch workflows, governance, and change management, partnering with leadership to optimize quote-to-launch efficiency, risk tracking, performance reporting, and deliver measurable cost savings through improved launch accuracy, reduced rework, and minimized material waste.
&middot;       Develop standardized templates, playbooks, and training to support scalable and repeatable execution across the launch process.
&middot;       Provide leadership with clear, data-driven updates on launch performance, risks, resource needs, and KPI dashboards covering timing, cost, and customer satisfaction, and conduct structured post-launch reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
 
What We&rsquo;re Looking For

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in product launch management, commercialization, or project management. Beauty, personal care, or consumer products manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, and cost structures.
Proven experience managing quotations, pricing models, and profitability in a B2B or CDMO environment.
Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) and data analytics platforms (Excel, BI tools).
Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP certification preferred.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
