The intern will spend meaningful time in the shop environment supporting fabrication workflows, equipment readiness, and safety practices, while also gaining exposure to engineering design, documentation, and technical reviews.
This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in hands-on operations, engineering support, and how designs are executed in the real world within an energy services environment.
Operations:

Gain hands-on exposure to fabrication and execution workflows
Assist with shop organization, material staging, and tool readiness
Support equipment inspections and readiness checks
Help verify drawings and work instructions prior to execution
Observe fabrication, assembly, and testing activities
Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety guidelines

Engineering Support:

Assist with researching and supporting the design of new products, systems, and components
Support modifications and improvements to existing designs
Assist with drafting, documentation, and data organization
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with engineers

 
What We&rsquo;re Looking For:

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field preferred)
Strong interest in hands-on operations, manufacturing, and engineering support
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfortable working in a shop environment and following safety procedures
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      <description><![CDATA[Koil Energy is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support and enhance our Quality Management System within a subsea manufacturing and fabrication environment.
This role is critical to ensuring compliance with industry standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high-quality documentation for both regulatory and client requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in quality systems, supplier auditing, and process improvement within a technical manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance

Maintain and improve quality assurance processes aligned with project and industry standards
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Project Management teams
Monitor product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle

Supplier Quality

Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
Develop and manage supplier evaluation criteria
Collaborate with Procurement to resolve supplier-related quality issues

Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process optimization opportunities
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
Drive sustainable improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies

Internal Auditing & ISO Compliance

Plan and execute internal audits in alignment with ISO 9001 and company standards
Identify non-conformances and track corrective actions through resolution
Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
Provide guidance and training on quality and compliance best practices

Documentation & Data Books

Compile and review Manufacturing Data Books (MDBs) for subsea projects
Ensure accuracy of material certifications, inspection records, and test documentation
Coordinate with internal teams and clients to meet contractual documentation requirements


Qualifications

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3- 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Auditing, and Continuous Improvement
Experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, or fabrication environments preferred
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification required; Lead Auditor is a plus
Strong knowledge of API Q1, ISO 9001, and applicable quality standards
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Proven experience compiling and reviewing manufacturing data books
Familiarity with subsea systems or fabrication processes is highly desirable

      <description><![CDATA[Koil Energy is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support our Sales and Estimating teams. This is a developmental role designed for individuals looking to grow into a full Estimator position.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with RFQs, cost development, vendor pricing, and bid preparation, while also owning bid tracking, documentation, and coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating Support

Assist in preparing cost estimates, take-offs, and pricing summaries
Review RFQs, technical scopes, drawings, and specifications
Request and track vendor and supplier quotations
Support the development and submission of client bid packages
Document technical clarifications, exceptions, and deviations

Bid Coordination & Administration

Maintain bid tracking logs and estimating databases with high accuracy
Track tender deadlines and ensure timely submissions
Organize and manage electronic and physical bid files
Log quotations and assist with follow-ups on submitted bids
Prepare basic sales and bid activity reports
Maintain historical cost data for future estimating reference

Qualifications

High school diploma required
1&ndash;5 years of experience in estimating, project management, engineering, or related role
Experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
Exposure to projects with $5M+ annual sales is a plus
