The role of the Process Engineer is to ensure all processes meet the final quality of the product and the efficiency of the production system.  The Process Engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing production processes, reducing inefficiency, recognizing patterns, collecting data, implementing methodologies, and improving quality.  This role reports to the VP of Global Operations. 


Duties and responsibilities 

 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: 

 



Develop, optimize, and monitor chemical manufacturing processes 






Evaluating existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement 






Develop and implement operating procedures, systems, projects, and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operating cost 






Design, test, implement and manage projects from start to completion, including scope development, process design, cost estimation, construction, commissioning, and start up 






Lead or participate on projects to implement new products to the site, interacting with lab chemists, the commercial team, environmental, health and safety, and plant operations team 






Interact directly with supply chain, quality, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement 






Developing best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates, quality of output and product reliability 






Create process simulations and conduct risk assessments 






Performing process analysis and making recommendations for improvement 






Providing technical support and training to staff and junior engineers 








Ensuring that all processes and procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations 






Working closely with other specialists, including engineers and scientists, to develop products 






Documenting all created processes and updating and maintaining these documents as changes occur 






Operate in a fast paced, dynamic work environment, managing several projects and priorities simultaneously 






Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output 






Provide process documentation and operating instructions 






Provide process and equipment design, process optimization, and troubleshooting 






Conduct process development experiments to scale in a laboratory 






Manage cost and time constraints 






Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Job purpose
 
The primary role of the Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor is to provide support to the overall leadership and direction to the reliability function. This position is responsible to the Plant Manager for the safe, effective, and efficient use of all manpower, materials, parts, and other resources under their control as well as providing capacity, asset reliability, and best life cycle cost to the operation.
Under regular day-to-day guidance, the Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor is responsible for implementing and managing the systems, maintenance organization structure, and processes necessary to achieve and sustain the reliability mission. Through their efforts, a proactive culture which fosters open communication and trust that values reliability, efficiency, and effective life cycle asset management is achieved.
Duties and responsibilities
 
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Providing frontline leadership for the unit&rsquo;s Mechanics and E&I Mechanics

 
Duties/Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing procedures and a training program for repairs on key pieces of equipment, assisting with repairs, as needed
Leading the area reliability program, coordinating API and locally mandated inspections, and coordinating with external reliability vendors
Ownership of the development and implementation of the plant maintenance program and procedures and the integration into the SAP PM Module
Primary point of contact for all mechanical, electrical, and other contractors
Supporting capital execution by acting as the field coordinator with vendors
Supporting the identification and maintenance of spare parts inventory as part of the reliability program
Facilitates excellent environmental, health and safety performance
Assists with creating and controlling the maintenance and capital budgets to ensure that they provide for optimized spending to achieve the agreed-upon capacity and asset reliability
Ensures standard reliability and maintenance work process are followed
Assists with maintaining critical spare parts, minimizing necessary inventory, and automating materials requisition functions
Periodically provides input for benchmarks current performance with internal and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement
Provides support in the Management of Change processes
Supports the proper execution of the reliability strategy
Fosters a culture that does not tolerate equipment failures and seeks to understand and eliminate the causes using techniques such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Implements organizational structure, systems, tools, and technologies that promote a proactive approach to maintenance including but not limited to MTBF analysis, bad actor program, critical spare review, TEEP/OEE analysis, and others
Ensures effective use and integration of standard corporate work order planning, scheduling, and materials kitting
