Assigned Regional Service Area: Toledo, Algoma (Bryan & Edgerton), Defiance
We&rsquo;re looking for an enthusiastic and mission-driven Recruitment Specialist to grow Girl Scout membership by leading recruitment efforts in assigned communities. This role is responsible for developing and executing dynamic, data-informed recruitment plans that engage girls and adults through troops, starter troops, and other flexible pathways. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with schools, community partners, and volunteers to drive local recruitment, increase visibility, and support council-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about expanding access to Girl Scouting and will have strong relationship management skills, be comfortable communicating the Girl Scout program in small and large groups, and use data driven insights to create and execute a year-round and robust recruitment plan. This role is located within our south/Cincinnati region and assigned to support service units in the following areas: Toledo, Algoma (Bryan & Edgerton) and Defiance.

  Essential Functions

Develop and execute a girl and adult membership recruitment plan in assigned communities to achieve annual new girl and adult membership goals.
Increase Girl Scout visibility and engagement in the community through recruitment events, presentations, community networking and collaborations.
Identify and support volunteers to recruit within specific communities increasing membership efforts.
Drive membership growth in assigned communities by developing and implementing comprehensive recruitment plans for girls/ adults in troops, starter troops, and other opportunities in alignment with council recruitment strategies.
Analyze membership gaps throughout the year to readjust plans as necessary to meet grade level and demographic goals.
Cultivate and collaborate with local schools, community organizations, administrative volunteers and other networks to increase visibility and recruitment opportunities for girls and adults.
Implement the components of volunteer program management with recruitment volunteers, partnering with administrative volunteers in assigned communities.
Provide support to Council strategic initiatives including recruitment, product program, outreach and outdoor program/camp. 

In this role, you&rsquo;ll build highly transferable experience in public speaking and facilitation, community engagement, relationship management, event/project planning, and marketing/communications all while supporting volunteers who deliver life-changing experiences for girls. You&rsquo;ll strengthen your ability to influence, coach and support volunteers and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, people-centered environment.

 Position Details
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The days of work are primarily Monday through Friday, but evening work is frequent and occasional weekend work may be required. Hours of work will vary, depending on support required by service units and time of year. Work schedules are flexible and will require evenings and weekends with the opportunity to flex time during the week to accommodate commitments outside of the standard work week.  This position is eligible for approved overtime.

Travel
This is an &ldquo;in the field&rdquo; community-based position requiring regular travel to assigned geographic areas of the council. Local service unit travel will be on a frequent basis; all business-related miles are eligible for mileage reimbursement.

Required Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant experience welcomed 
A combination of education, training, and handson experience that demonstrates the ability to succeed in a communitybased, relationshipdriven role 
Experience engaging, supporting, or coaching volunteers, customers, members, or community partners 
Experience in recruitment, outreach, sales, or goaldriven engagement (preferred)

The Service Delivery Manager is a full people manager role with direct responsibility for leading, coaching, and holding a team accountable for results that drive girl membership growth and volunteer engagement across Greater Cincinnati. The Service Delivery Manager leads a team of approximately 4 staff members and oversees service delivery in up to 10 communities within an assigned Cincinnati-area territory. This role is central to our membership and volunteer strategy and plays a key leadership role in advancing our mission. This position requires comfort being present in the community, including evening and weekend events and the ability to regularly travel throughout the assigned territory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Our Business Operations Specialist is part of a newly created team that brings together Customer Care, Retail, and Business Support to create a seamless, welcoming experience for every person who walks through our doors, calls our center, or connects with us online
Business Operations Specialists are trained to support all three functions &ndash; whether it&rsquo;s supporting operations at one of our Girl Scout centers, serving as first point of contact for a customer inquiry, selling branded merch in our boutique retail shops or helping bring our mission to life for our community through our brand center operations, this role is at the heart of it all. This is a customer-facing position that directly supports the mission and ensures every touchpoint with our council feels welcoming, helpful, connected and on brand.
This is a great role for someone with call center, general office, customer service or retail experience and the ideal candidate will have prior experience in interacting with customers -both in-person and online or phone, be comfortable with heavy call volume (utilizing a headset) and being a first point of contact and first impression for the organization. This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor, strong ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks at the same time and  in an accurate and timely manner and serve as a collaborative team member and knowledge holder for all the happenings across council!

RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative & Brand Support

Create, edit, and produce branded content including print and digital collateral (e.g., brochures, manuals, posters, forms).
Ensure all materials adhere to brand standards and maintain accuracy through proofreading and verification.
Manage digital file organization including photos, GSUSA materials, and story libraries.
Maintain and optimize content on the organization&rsquo;s custom web-to-print platform; process and fulfill orders efficiently.
Perform general office tasks such as data entry, mailing/shipping, equipment maintenance, and supply inventory management.

 Retail Operations

Welcome and engage customers in the retail shop, providing knowledgeable assistance based on Girl Scout programs and resources.
Operate the point-of-sale system, process payments and orders, and ensure accurate receipting and daily drawer balancing.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing shop environment.
Manage inventory through timely ordering, organization, and accurate system updates; participate in annual inventory counts.
Provide backup support for business and regional site operations.

 Customer Service & Site Support

Serve as the first point of contact for all customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Deliver professional and accurate responses using the council&rsquo;s knowledge base and software systems.
Document customer interactions in Salesforce promptly and accurately.
Maintain a welcoming and customer-centric environment in public areas of council facilities.
Open and close regional office buildings and ensure guest access during operating hours.
Provide front desk support, assist walk-in guests, and offer volunteer resources.

 
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED equivalent with demonstrated customer service or administrative experience. Call center or receptionist experience a plus!
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical computer skills in Microsoft.
Familiarity with Outlook, calendar maintenance, email systems and social media
Ability to assist internal and external customers by researching and providing information and responding to requests promptly
Ability to organize materials and documents for ease of reference for team members
Ability to analyze information to determine its priority and handle it appropriately


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position and typical hours are Monday-Friday between 8:30am and 6:00pm with occasional evening and weekend hours to support the retail operations. Our retail stores are open on Saturdays during peak seasons from 9am &ndash; Noon.TRAVEL
Travel may be expected within our Council footprint to provide coverage at one of the Girl Scout Centers or as part of training and onboarding. Travel will be daytime travel, no expectations for overnight.

 Our summer camp season begins in Mid-May and runs through early August, and we provide a full training and onboarding program for all staff in preparation to effectively lead and participate in summer programming with our girls!

 What you&rsquo;ll do:
As staff, you&rsquo;ll spend your summer traveling to various locations to facilitator programming.  This team will run day camp, troop adventure camp, and weekend programs. You&rsquo;ll help girls choose their own adventures while participating in hiking, swimming, outdoor living skills, building teamwork, archery, nature activities, crafts, or working on badge activities.
 Open Positions with the Camp Programs & Events Team 
Camp Programs & Events Director (1) $95/day - Responsible for the health and safety of campers and staff by providing first aid and administering medications as directed by the camp health care plan. Applicants must be able to live on-site, be 21 years of age or older, and have a valid Driver&rsquo;s License. Applicants must be a current registered nurse, or Emergency Medical Technician. 
     Program Coordinator (1) $90/day - Supervises and supports program specialists and schedules programming for units across camp. Ensures programming follows industry standards, ACA accreditation guidelines and Safety Activity Checkpoints. Adventure Challenge Education and Archery Training are provided. Applicants must be able to live on-site, be 21 years of age or older, and have a valid Driver&rsquo;s License.
        Camp Counselors (6) &ndash; $75/day- Provides quality camp experience through the planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out of activities and guiding campers in their personal growth. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
     Counselor/Lifeguard (3) - $80/day &ndash; Guards the pool during camp programming. Lifeguard training and small craft safety training is provided. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Our Camp Programs & Event staff positions are full-time throughout camp season. The days of work are primarily Sunday through Friday. Staff are expected to stay overnight throughout the summer. Staff receive a two-hour break Monday-Thursday. Staff will have housing and food provided during working hours. Staff will be expected to work a few Saturdays during the summer. Staff will receive 24 hours off once a week. 
 REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
Experience in youth programming. 
Must enjoy and be comfortable with working outdoors with youth.
For roles that require onsite living &ndash; must be comfortable with and able to live onsite 24/7 during camp season.

TAC is a progressive camping experience where troops choose their activities and adventures, including making crafts, hiking, swimming, creeking, outdoor living skills, building teamwork, archery, nature activities or working on badge or Girl Scout Journey activities.
 
Open Positions at Troop Adventure Camp:
 
Waterfront Director/Health Supervisor - Supervises lifeguards and provides management of the physical operation of the waterfront&rsquo;s facilities and equipment. Conducts planning, supervision, and delivery of activities at the waterfront that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers&rsquo; age and abilities. Applicants must be able to live on-site, be 21 years of age or older, and have a valid Driver&rsquo;s License.
 
Adventure Challenge Educator - Facilitates and maintains challenge course equipment and supplies and facilitates climbing walls, low challenge course and crate stacking activities for troop adventure camp. ACE training provided. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. 
 
 Waterfront Specialist - Guards the pool and helps support other program areas around camp when needed for Troop Adventure Camp. Lifeguard training is provided. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Camp Libbey &ndash; Nestled along the strikingly beautiful banks of the Maumee River, Camp Libbey is located just outside Defiance, Ohio. Camp Libbey Camp Libbey has offered a variety of camping experiences since 1936. With almost 600 acres of fields, forests, and ravines, Camp Libbey is a great place to start your outdoor adventure! Our camp offers a variety of positions that support the girls in their daily adventures such as hiking, archery, creek paddling, and enjoying the climbing wall or taking a ride down our waterslide before a dip in the swimming pool! 

Camp Whip Poor Will: Camp Whip Poor Will&rsquo;s 500+ acres are jam-packed with various facilities, program areas, and endless woods, creeks, and trails, allowing girls to choose their own adventures. Accredited by the American Camp Association for its high standards in both facilities and programs, Camp Whip Poor Will offers a variety of outdoor experiences plus great lodging options for first-time campers and experienced outdoor enthusiasts.

Adventure Coordinator - Manages and delivers high adventure challenge activities, supervises program specialists. Conducts the planning, supervision, and delivery of activities at the high challenge course, low challenge course, archery, and sports area.  Adventure Challenge Education & Archery training provided.  Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid Driver's License.
 
Unit Counselor - Provides a safe and supportive camp experience by supervising campers, ensuring their well-being, and guiding them through daily routines and activities. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
 
Unit Counselor and Lifeguard - Provides a safe and supportive camp experience by supervising campers, ensuring their well-being, and guiding them through daily routines and activities.
