Reporting to the Controller, this position leads daily accounting and financing support activities, directs the monthly closing, and ensures accurate GAAP-basis monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including consolidated reporting when applicable. The role oversees treasury and disbursement controls, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and the timely delivery of financial information to support lender requirements, regulatory compliance reporting, and external audits and examinations.
The position builds and develops a high-performing accounting team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management, and partners cross-functionally to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.


Core Functions and Responsibilities

Lead a high-performing team by recruiting, onboarding, and training talent; manage performance and support ongoing employee development
Prepare quarterly operating and cash forecasts, and perform financial analyses as requested by the Controller
Lead the accounting team and assist, as needed, with daily general ledger posting activities and sales commission
Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations; ensure bank account balances are reconciled timely and accurately
Partner with the accounting team to document policies and procedures and establish controls to deter fraud
Ensure accurate financial management reporting, including consolidated financial statements when applicable
Oversee disbursement review and controls, debt reporting, and lender covenant reporting
Provide coaching and guidance to build team capabilities and support ongoing training and development
Coordinate with a third-party valuation firm to independently value retained mortgage servicing rights (MSRs)
Read and interpret legal agreements (including MLPAs, AMAs, and forward purchase and sale agreements) to determine appropriate accounting recognition and treatment
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned



Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
5+ years' financial experience, including general ledger accounting, month-end close, and treasury and disbursement management
2+ years' experience in treasury operations, loan funding, corporate banking, or a related finance function
2+ years' leadership experience
2+ years' mortgage experience preferred
Experience with an LOS (Encompass), a general ledger system (NetSuite), and a document management system strongly preferred
Strong understanding of bank account administration, cash management, and treasury operations
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Reporting to the VP, Wholesale Sales Manager, this position is responsible for driving growth and establishing strategic partnerships in our wholesale lending space. This role builds and maintains a network of regional and national mortgage brokers, lenders and originators for the residential and commercial functions to generate product flow into our Non-Owner Occupied (NOO), Fix & Flip and Investor Rental Loan Products.
The position identifies and capitalizes on market opportunities to increase volume, profitability and market share by negotiating agreements with prospective business partners and marketing business products and services to expand our wholesale lending portfolio and enhance market presence.
Core Functions and Responsibilities:

Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive sales strategy process to expand the wholesale lending portfolio.
Identify, engage and nurture relationships with mortgage brokers, financial institutions and other key partners to enhance market presence and grow existing client relationships.
Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscape, providing insights to inform business strategies.
Build the business development pipeline of wholesale products, setting clear goals and performance metrics to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Oversee sales initiatives, including developing sales forecasts, tracking performance and implementing best practices to maximize revenue.
Effectively utilize the CRM software to track client relationships and present regular updates to Senior Management on business development activities, market trends and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (or equivalent combination of years of experience with High School diploma/GED)
2+ years' experience in mortgage/loan industry sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships
2+ years' experience supporting diverse business functions; mortgage/financial services industry experience preferred
Working knowledge of business structures such as LLC, LP, SP and related
Working knowledge of the mortgage origination process
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives, peers and associates
Presentation skills necessary to persuade and/or facilitate discussions with prospective and existing clients

Reporting to the Processing Manager, Processing, this position is responsible for initiating the mortgage loan origination process by ensuring accurate and efficient file setup. This position verifies borrower-provided data and supporting documents, ensuring loan applications are complete and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role performs initial data entry tasks and compliance checks, maintains updated and accurate loan files in the system, and ensures all pre-submission requirements are met.
Additionally, this position works closely with loan officers, processors, and underwriters to facilitate a seamless progression through the loan process. This role supports timely processing by identifying and addressing missing or incomplete documentation at the earliest stage and serves as a contact for borrowers to resolve loan inquiries and advise on next steps in the loan process.


Core Functions and Responsibilities

Complete new loan setups within 24 hours of receiving a completed application to ensure timely processing
Request and obtain necessary documentation from borrowers, such as income verification, credit reports, and identification
Verify all required information and documents in the loan file for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines to prevent processing delays
Serve as the first point of contact for borrowers responding to inquiries regarding loan status, required documents, and next steps in the loan process
Accurately input borrower information into the Loan Origination System (LOS) and update loan files to ensure proper documentation is maintained
Deliver a compliant loan file to processing to enable timely receipt of loan approval conditions
Communicate effectively with brokers to ensure seamless coordination and that issues are resolved timely
Monitor and track the status of loan files to ensure all tasks are completed on time and escalate issues when necessary to avoid delays
Assist in the identification and resolution of discrepancies in loan documentation to maintain accuracy and prevent errors in the loan process

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years' experience in mortgage or loan processing or related administrative roles within financial services

Knowledge of state-specific requirements related to loan processing and documentation
Solid understanding of GFE, TIL, and RESPA guidelines and requirements
