Submit prior authorization requests with required clinical documentation and follow through on authorization requirements.
Complete financial clearance requirements prior to treatment.
Communicate with patients by phone, email, portal, and in person regarding benefits, treatment costs, payments, and financial questions.
Review insurance correspondence, remittances, and denials and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
Monitor patient balances and work with team members to ensure required payments are collected and applied correctly.
Respond to insurance requests for medical records and supporting documentation.
Maintain accurate and timely financial documentation within the electronic medical record.
Monitor financial work queues, incoming calls, and voicemail to ensure patient needs are addressed promptly.
Post assigned provider and laboratory charges accurately and timely.
