Our expansive WECommunity database boasts over 17,000 small and medium enterprises, all owned, managed, and controlled by inspiring women entrepreneurs. We've witnessed steady growth in our network through strategic global events, regional initiatives, and robust digital marketing campaigns. In 2024, we have ambitious plans to double the size of our WECommunity, marking a significant stride towards our goal of empowering more women-owned businesses by the end of 2024.

Why Global Markets Office?
The Global Markets office WEConnect International is responsible for creating innovative global strategies that will accelerate the organization’s mission, leading to increased awareness and impact. The group leads the organization’s interaction with over 185 Multinational Corporations and a network of over 18,000 women owned businesses from around the world. 

What You Will Achieve:
The primary objective of this internship is to research various generative AI solutions applicable to WEConnect International's mission and operations. The intern will identify potential areas where generative AI can bring value, conduct in-depth research on available generative AI technologies, and provide recommendations for implementation.

As a valued intern of the Global Markets Office, you'll contribute to our mission through the investigation and evaluation of potential AI solutions to enhance WEConnect International's operations and objectives.
 
  1. Initial Assessment:
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of WEConnect International's mission, goals, and current operations.
  • Meet with supervisor to identify pain points, challenges, and opportunities where AI solutions could be beneficial.
  1. Research Phase: Conduct extensive research on AI technologies relevant to WEConnect International's needs, including but not limited to:
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Machine Learning (ML) for generative purposes
  • Predictive Text Generation
  • Data Visualization tools utilizing generative AI
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
  • Evaluate potential AI solutions based on criteria such as cost, scalability, ease of integration, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  1. Analysis & Recommendations:
  • Analyze the research findings to identify the most suitable AI solutions for addressing WEConnect International's needs.
  • Provide detailed recommendations on the implementation approach, including timelines, resource requirements, and potential challenges.
  1. Documentation and Presentation:
  • Prepare a comprehensive report documenting the research process, findings, and recommendations.
  • Create a presentation summarizing key findings and recommendations for presentation to WEConnect International's leadership team.
  1. Deliverables: 
  • Research report detailing potential AI solutions, their benefits, and implementation strategies.
  • Presentation slides summarizing key findings and recommendations.
  • Any additional documentation deemed necessary for understanding the research process and outcomes.
 
Resources
The intern will have access to relevant data, documentation, and personnel within WEConnect International for conducting research and gathering information.

Communication
Regular check-in meetings will be scheduled with the intern and project supervisor to track progress, address any issues, and provide guidance as needed.

Approval and Acceptance
The final research report and presentation will be subject to review and approval by WEConnect International's leadership team.

Confidentiality
The intern will be required to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information obtained during the course of the internship.

What You Bring:
  • Passion for Women's Economic Empowerment: A deep commitment to advancing women in business.
  • Educational Background: Pursuing or holding a degree in international business, business, marketing, writing, and women’s studies.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong English writing and communication skills.
  • Cross-Cultural Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: A readiness to learn coupled with practical problem-solving skills.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in standard productivity software. Willingness to learn virtual meeting software.
  • Equipment and Connectivity: Personal laptop, mobile phone, robust internet connection, and data plan. (WEConnect International cannot provide or reimburse for these items.)
  • Preferred Skills: Business, international business, writing, design, and marketing skills.
