FrankCrum Staffing has an opening for a Tax Manager. This is a group tax role which will be extremely varied and give the right candidate exposure to different areas of the global tax. The Tax Manager will cover - Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) (m/f)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of a new VAT reporting/compliance system
• Preparation and calculation of indirect tax returns (VAT, Intrastat declaration, etc.)
• Ensure declarations and payments are timely filed/paid for all the domestic and EMEA jurisdictions where the company operates
• Assist with the domestic & international tax and statutory compliance; i.e. data gathering and analysis necessary to file complete and accurate statutory financial statements and tax returns
• Assists with the maintenance of the statutory and tax calendar for all the companies in EMEA
• Responsible that withholding tax is applied as needed and reported/remitted timely (al the EMEA countries where the company operates)
• Managing external tax advisors in regard to tax reporting and compliance obligations
• Assist with the implementation of new tax policies, strategies and procedures and other cross-functional initiatives as appropriate

 Skills and competencies

• Degree in Finance and/or Accounting or a certified German assistant tax consultant (“Steuerfachangestellte/r”)
• 3-5 years of International VAT experience
• Good knowledge of IFRS accounting (required)
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be extremely diligent about working with international colleagues at all levels
• Proficient with Excel (required); knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (a plus)
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to plan, execute and improve work processes
• Fluency in written and spoken English and German. French or Spanish language skills desirable, but not required.
