FrankCrum Staffing has an opening for a Panel Shop Technician in the Tampa area. Understanding of Industrial control products and systems, push buttons, terminal strips, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, AC motor control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret and follow electrical prints/schematics
- Read, interpret and follow ISO9001:2015 Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to use tools of the panel shop technician trade, such as OHM meters, AMP meters, Volt meters, oscilloscope, etc.
- Work with and wire electrical panels
- 20 to 1/0 gauge
- Work safely with 12 to 24VDC to AC voltage to 480VAC
- Understanding of HMI’s, PLC’s is a plus
- Assembly and testing of Controls, printed circuit boards and electrical subassemblies. Responsible for acquiring the necessary parts from stock locations and other departments, final assembly, programming, testing and repair as required, and the completion of all necessary documentation for Controls, printed circuit boards, subassemblies required for inventory and spare parts kits.
- Provide assistance to Engineering in the assembly, debugging, testing and documentation of prototype electrical assemblies. Responsible for acquiring all necessary parts from stock locations, layout, debugging, testing, modification and documentation of prototype electrical assemblies to Engineering specifications.
- Other duties as required to maintain production schedule. Responsible for assisting other Work Centers and Departments in daily activities to help meet Customer and Production commitments
Education and experience:
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology is desired or 2-5+ years related work experience.
- Motivated individual possessing the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Capable of assembly and/or wiring from diagrams and schematics
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of control logic requirements, and experience with electrical and electronic components and their use.
- Ability to lift moderate weights of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
- Ability to interact with customer sales, engineering, quality or other representatives with a high degree of customer service
