Summary
Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Need to be trained to maintain all areas of the store to include restrooms, floors (includes scrubber), sidewalks, parking lot, trash receptacles, outside grass areas, pumps, pads, and trash compactor.
Exhibit the Wally's culture and hold each maintenance team member accountable to those same standards. Provide these team members with coaching and assist in evaluations.
Monitor, control, and order store supplies needed for facility maintenance. Execute checklist of items that need to be completed daily as well as special projects to be completed less than daily. Main focus for this position will be outside presentation to include pumps, pads, sidewalks, trash control, etc.
Cleans internal areas of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, and mopping. Washes windows. Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup. Paints interior and exterior walls and trim. Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks. Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses. Repairs or replaces building brick, stone, and concrete. Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings. Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment such as truck, street sweeper, and riding mower. Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises various team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Reports to guest service manager.

Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software; Project Management software; Payroll systems and Human Resource systems.
