Description

Majority Strategies is recruiting for a creative, detail oriented Digital Fundraiser position for a political campaign as a permanent position working remotely. Majority is a conservative organization representing Republican candidates. 

Position Overview: The online fundraiser role will report to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have five years of online, digital fundraising experience, and a proven track record of successful online fundraising programs for political candidates, non-profits, or advocacy causes. There may be travel, maybe twice a year, as part of this role. This is a full time position with a long term commitment to Majority. 

DIGITAL FUNDRAISING STRATEGY:

  • Oversee and direct a data-centric approach to digital fundraising that hinges on tracking metrics to ensure campaigns deliver against key performance indicators to provide analysis to clients and drive overall project strategy
  • Work with Online Fundraising Project Manager to develop messaging, creative direction, KPIs, and project execution strategy for Majority Money digital fundraising clients
  • Review, optimize, and assist with deployment of all digital plans, content, website, design, e-mails, and any other client deliverables
  • Work with Digital, Ad Ops, Data, Web Development and other Majority Strategies team members to develop strategy and ensure successful execution of digital fundraising projects

LIST BUILDING & EMAIL MARKETING:

  • Oversee and implement the use of targeted lead generation tactics to grow client list of donor prospects through:

            Revenue sharing agreements

            List rentals         

            Digital advertising (Facebook, Google, Search)

  • ​Manage Majority Money’s internal revenue sharing list program and work with third parties and external partners to deploy successful campaigns
  • Work with Online Fundraising Project Manager to produce all e-mail creative (copy, design) and deploy, code, and setup all client e-mails

REPORT BUILDING, OPTIMIZATION & ANALYSIS

  • Troubleshoot, problem solve, and be able to workshop with clients on any potential sub-optimal funding results
  • Direct digital optimization for each client –month to month –e-mail flight to e-mail flight
  • Work with Ad Ops team to ensure optimization reports have correct data, are presented in an easy to understand format, and are distributed at a regular and scheduled cadence
  • Stay up to date on latest ad-tech/mar-tech trends
  • Assist with the development and implementation of any new digital fundraising products or procedures utilized by Majority Money

THIRD PARTY VENDORS

  • Develop and manage strong relationships with third party list vendors
  • Utilize revenue sharing and rental agreements to prospect new donors and increase revenue for Majority Money clients 
  • Manage relationship with e-mail service providers
  • Manage relationship with payment processors: WinRed, Raise the Money, Anedot

CONTENT

  • Direct digital strategy to test creatives for performance optimization for both client and internal purposes
  • Work with creative team to share results and educate writers and designers as needed
  • Monitor the state of national politics to ensure we never miss an ad-hoc fundraising opportunity for all clients
  • Work with Online Fundraising Project Manager, Writing, and Design teams to drive messaging direction and overall fundraising creative strategy
  • Work with Writing Team Manager and Design Team Manager to troubleshoot sub optimal results and provide feedback for future improvement

 

CLIENT MANAGEMENT

  • Troubleshoot any sub-optimal fundraising results and develop a strategy for resolution
  • Discuss digital fundraising plans in greater detail
  • Provide industry expertise on fundraising strategy

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years working in e-mail marketing and digital communications, preferably with some fundraising experience
  • A proven track record of successful online list building and engagement programs, preferably for political candidates, non-profits, or advocacy causes
  • Very well-versed in list building, donor prospecting, and donor retention strategies
  • Hands-on experience with HTML and a variety of drag-and-drop e-mail service providers
  • Technical expertise surrounding: E-mail service providers and email marketing strategies, Lead generation campaigns (Facebook, revenue sharing, rentals),Donor up sell/cross sell techniques, database management and list building, payment processing
  • Proven track record of success in time sensitive, project oriented professional environment
  • General working knowledge of digital media and advertising strongly desired
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
