POSITION TITLE: Senior Military Defense Analyst

WORK LOCATION: Pentagon (Resource Situational Awareness Center) – Remotely during COVID-19 Pandemic

TASK: Provide readiness/modernization services to support initiatives such as:

  1. Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise (EDRE) programs

  2. Department of Army, Strategic Operations Enterprise (DAMO-SOE)

  3. Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI) Support

  4. EMS capabilities, and other emerging initiatives.

  5. These services include strategic planning, strategic communications, and Knowledge Management (KM) to support critical force modernization efforts.

TASK DESCRIPTION (DAMO-ODO – Current Operations and Contingency Plans Division):

  1. Serves as Army Individual Augmentation (IA) functional analyst reporting to the HQDA G-33/DAMOODO IA Branch Chief to support Army and Combatant Commander requirements.

  2. Coordinates with the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Army Staff, US Army Human Resources Command, and Army Commands in managing the Army’s IA effort.

  3. Facilitates the complete lifecycle management of Army wide IA activities through use Mobilization Common Operating Picture Individual Augmentation (MOBCOP IA) and Army Force Generation Synchronization Toolset - Requirements Sourcing Application Module (AST-RSAM).

  4. Builds, submits, and verifies Army Manning Documents (AMD); conducts manpower analysis of Total Army personnel assets in conjunction with HRC to support IA requirements; task sourcing entities, including U.S. Army Forces Command and U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command; processes reclamas; and tracks IAs from home station to assignment and return.

  5. Coordinate with the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Agencies, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Army Staff, US Army Human Resources Command (HRC), Army Commands (ACOMs), Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), and Direct Reporting Units (DRUs) in managing the Army’s IA effort.

  6. Receive guidance and direction from the IA Branch Chief within DAMO-ODO for integration of requirements and task assignments.

  7. Participates in DoD, Joint Staff, and/or Army working groups or meeting related to WIAS or related systems to perform IA or requirements validation functions for the Army.

  8. Verify task requirements with MOBCOP IA and AST-RSAM account managers to ensure qualified service members are vetted for deployment.

  9. Assist MOBCOP IA and AST-RSAM account managers with replacement of service members who fail Combat Readiness Centers evaluation requirements or unable to complete the mission.

TASK DELIVERABLES (Responsibilities / Contributor):

  1. Support the development and staffing of MOBCOP IA and/or AST-RSAM strategy, policy, plans, orders, or leadership briefings.

  2. Work with the IA Branch Chief and AST-RSAM contractor team to assist with the design, development, and deployment of AST-RSAM.

  3. Produce executive summaries (EXSUMs) for DoD, Joint Staff, and Army working groups.

  4. Build, submit, and verify AMDs.


  1. Experience with the Worldwide Individual Augmentee System (WIAS) and/or related Army Personnel databases (e.g., Integrated Total Army Personnel Database (ITAPDB))

  2. Experience using the Army Mobilization Processing System (DAMPS) and the Mobilization Deployment Information Processing System (MDIS).

  3. Officer/Warrant Officer/Noncommissioned Officer Intermediate Level Education Graduate

  4. Bachelor’s Degree or extensive WIAS experience

  5. Must be US citizen and possess an active TOP SECRET clearance


  1. Experience with Army MACOM / Corps / Division Strength management 

  2. Experience in reengineering manpower information technology systems
