As the Inventory Lead, this role is responsible for leading the Inventory team in conducting cycle counts, investigating shortages and discrepancies, lead repackaging and rework projects, and managing inventory space utilization plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of all inventories by performing audits as well as maintaining a comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count program.
  • Assists coordinating the physical inventory procedures, when required.
  • Responsible for the coordination of reworking product, insuring packaging availability, and recording transactions.
  • Processes and posts return and transfers in both the GP and Deposco systems.
  • Recommends changes to improve the management and optimal storage of inventory.
  • Supervises the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, including weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Own the entire life cycle of QC HOLD from the time of detection to the resolution of the issue.
  • Communicate all discrepancies and quality issues with the Warehouse Manager and Inventory Control Manager.
  • Use Warehouse Management Software, ERP System, and Excel to reconcile cycle count data.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Assist where necessary with general warehouse operations.

Education/Experience/Additional Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of Warehouse Inventory experience required
  • Knowledge of distribution operations including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, replenishment, shipping, and inventory control practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Able to perform basic math equations
  • Self-motivated, in need of minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team player, eager to be cross-trained
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership attributes to manage the day-to-day activities and implement long range goals
  • Able to lift-up to 50 pounds, operate a pallet jack and fork truck preferred.
