Location: Lackland, AFB (San Antonio, TX)

Supporting the US Air Force

 

Years of Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience 

Education Level: Bachelor of Science Degree - Experience may be considered in place of education requirement.

Position Description: Develop software programs in a variety of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C/C++, or others to satisfy client-provided requirements. Review, analyze, evaluate, and develop innovative cybersecurity solutions. Identify technical gaps, develop a detailed technical solution with associated roadmap, evaluate maturity of solutions, create white papers, and present technical information to DoD customers and corporate executives. Identify, modify, enhance, and support the integration of non-commercial code bases used to upgrade existing client systems. Research and development of cyberspace capabilities, prototyping, and software development for networked and embedded systems in support of offensive and defensive Cyberspace Operations. Apply Agile software development methodology to ensure projects are completed on time and addresses all client requirements. You will participate in formal, professional customer presentations and proposals.

Required Skills:  

  • Experience developing applications for Linux and other Unix-like environments.
  • Experience creating web applications using modern frameworks - React, Node, Django, Angular, etc.
  • Able to capably use one or more of the following languages - Python, JavaScript, C, C++
  • Database experience with RDBMS (Postgres, MariaDB, MySQL, etc).
  • Ability to effectively contribute to a project using Git/GitLab.
  • Experience working on Agile software teams

     

Desired Skills:  

  • Experience creating and using APIs
  • Understanding of offensive and defensive security principles.
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines
  • Deployment knowledge including containerization and Kubernetes
  • Writing effective tests
  • Embedded development knowledge
  • Vulnerability research and exploit development
  • Understanding of multiple architectures - x86, ARM, MIPS, etc.
  • Participation in Cyber CTFs
