    Thompson is seeking Therapists to join our growing team. 

    Thompson is a leading provider of clinical and prevention services for children and families across North Carolina. The Charlotte, N.C. based, nationally accredited nonprofit agency changes the lives of at-risk children and families through early childhood services, family stability programs and mental health treatment. Thompson is growing, now with locations and services that stretch from Wilmington to Asheville.

    Thompson is seeking Therapists to join our clinical team and we have multiple ways for therapists to plug in!
    We have full-time Outpatient Therapy positions as well as Contract Therapist options. Within our outpatient therapy department, in addition to general therapists, we are seeking therapists who have a passion and skill working with early childhood populations (0-8). And lastly, our community mental health department is seeking additional therapists to join our Intensive In-Home, In-Home Therapeutic Services, Family Centered Treatment, and Treatment Foster Care teams.

    The needs in our community have never been greater and Thompson seeks to meet the challenge every day.  

    Thompson is always looking to add Spanish speaking therapists to our diverse teams. We would love to hire bi-lingual therapists who are passionate about serving the community of Spanish-speaking families and closing the gap of the availability of mental health services for these families. 

    As a Therapist at Thompson, you will have the opportunity to provide individual, family and/or group therapy at any of our numerous campuses, as well as completing Comprehensive Clinical Assessments. Thompson also has unique opportunities for Therapists to provide treatment in non-traditional settings such as community based, school based, residential and early childhood settings, etc.

    We are seeking Therapists who are fully and provisionally licensed in the State of North Carolina (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT). Therapists who are already credentialed with insurance carriers (Medicaid and private) are strongly preferred. Flexibility, dedication, and professionalism are a must.

    A Thompson Therapist will also have the opportunity to access on-site trainings for CEU’s, networking opportunities with thought-leaders in the Mental Health services community and grow their personal and professional skillsets at their own pace.

    Thompson will financially support full-time Therapists towards rostering in an evidence based practice (TFCBT, PCIT, EMDR etc.) based on job performance. 

    •    Full or provisional license in the State of North Carolina (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT).
    •    Must pass a drug screen test and an extensive background check is required. 
    •    Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

    Physical Requirements:
    Will frequently perform a wide variety of physical tasks such as standing, walking and running, stooping, bending, and lifting of children, which requires strength, coordination, endurance and agility.
