Director of Business Development, Americas

The Director of Business Development, Americas will have the responsibility to develop new and existing sales representation firms (business partners).  He/she will need to possess strong sales and communication skills to properly develop the sales in the region.  This role is primarily a business development role, not account management.  This role requires laser-like focus to support the company’s growth and profit goals. 

Responsibilities:              

  • Present Sourceability as an independent distributor, franchise distributor and digital & ecommerce provider to business partners. 
  • Jointly manage business partners with account managers to achieve the highest level of success.  Any conflict between the VP of Business Development, Americas and the account manager will be resolved by sales management. 
  • Identify new business partners and maintain adequate updates to management.
  • Explore and develop a strategic outside sales “rep” network that can assist the Company in driving towards its sales and digital transformation goals
  • Innovate through digital marketing mediums like LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.  to support the success of our sales team
  • Help global marketing and product development teams through feedback from business partners. 
  • If necessary, or required by management, participate in closing deals with target accounts and drive business initiatives.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with executive team to support the needs of sales, purchasing, marketing, and product teams. 
  • Be an engaged, present, and metric driven colleague. 
  • Manage, support, grow, and inspire other business development members who might report to you. 
  • Manage travel and entertainment through your management team with approval given prior to any expenses being spent. 
  • Achieve and surpass revenue, gross profit, and other metrics as given by management. 
  • Create reports as requested by management. 
  • Other activities as required by management.
