Your Impact at Land Intelligence

The Director of Land Operations provides the leadership management and vision necessary to ensure that the offices within the region have the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to meet or exceed growth expectations, ensure the superior quality of work products, achieve and maintain financial strength, and ensure operational efficiency.

• This position can be located anywhere in South Carolina, with a preference of Columbia.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to enable the offices to achieve their goals related to sales, profitability, cash flow, and other business goals and objectives
• Work with management and corporate support teams to provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the offices to the executive management team
• Lead the team in developing and implementing an effective operational infrastructure of systems, processes, people, facilities and equipment designed to support the growth objectives and goals of the offices; Ensure team members are identifying ways to systematize the business to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
• Oversee QA/QC procedures and compliance by production staff
• Review and analyze performance data (financial, budgets and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels
• Work with the team in developing, communicating, and implementing the annual budget and strategic growth plan
• Participate in formulating and administering company policies and display leadership in their enforcement
• Monitor and ensure client satisfaction, quality control and safety compliance
• Oversee human resources and talent acquisition management for the Land Operations team in collaboration with the COO and support staff; develop and implement a talent recruitment and retention plan to ensure the right people are in place to meet the strategic needs of the operations; Drive the recruitment of managers
• Manage team members’ performance by establishing goals and expectations, monitoring progress against the goals and providing mentoring for growth and development
• Lead and/or attend both tactical and strategic meetings (operations meetings, backlog meetings, etc.)
• Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the Company’s strategic goals

What You Bring To Land Intelligence
• 15+ years of professional management experience in the AEC industry (Must have experience with services such as land development, land acquisition, land surveying, engineering and inspection, aerial mapping and subsurface utility engineering)
• Demonstrated leadership skills to manage multiple professionals, technicians and field crews to deliver large multi-disciplinary projects​​​​
• Demonstrated success in business development, marketing, and networking
• Successful experience in contract negotiations, budgets, and fee estimates and contract management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional Licensed Engineer or Surveyor Preferred
