The Account Director is the key liaison representing MMC to their clients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sales and marketing operations with knowledge of the building products industry to develop strong, meaningful relationships.    
The Account Director’s primary responsibility is to deliver on our clients’ expectations related to our programs’ scope, and provide superior insights and value that serve to deepen (and grow) our relationships through strong senior level client relationships built on trust, collaboration, and value.    

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with our clients, anticipating their needs and giving high priority to client satisfaction
  • Is able to process sales and marketing outcomes to formulate actionable recommendations and strategies (delivered within reporting and/or client interactions) that improve program performance and provide value and insight to our client partners
  • Owns setting direction and goals of the client program strategy by leading tactical planning of the campaign strategy, customer journey mapping, timelines, and budgets
  • Collaborates across internal MMC departments (such as marketing, sales, data, and analytics) to ensure successful planning & execution of the program strategy
  • The Account Director is involved with interviewing, hiring, training, and managing a team of effective Program Managers, who own the day-to-day execution of campaign tactics and results. This relationship may include leadership and peer mentorship, as well as corrective or disciplinary actions
  • Will ensure that the program stays within the allocated budget and timelines specified by our statement of work
  • Utilizes various industry resources and participate in industry events -- such as tradeshows, conferences and various customer events -- to become an industry expert
  • Will be required to perform other job duties as requested, directed, or assigned

  • At least five (5) years of direct experience in sales operations within Building Products manufacturing or distribution. 
  • Experience with online sales strategies and platforms to conduct digital sales or conversions (e-commerce), within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting and more, is preferred. 
  • At least two (2) plus years of experience managing a staff supporting sales or marketing programs
BS/BA degree (Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields, MBA preferred.
