About the Role
As the Senior Cybersecurity Consultant, you will deliver consulting and advisory services as part of the Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) team. You’ll oversee, and coordinate all aspects of the client engagements, and are a Subject Matter Expert to clients to help them achieve cybersecurity-related business goals. You’ll work with people from different organizational units in both the public and private sectors focusing on cyber resilience strategy across the organization.
The Ideal Candidate
Has a background in various industries such as Financial, Healthcare, Retail, etc. Has the presence to be seen as a confident business enabler with the ability to influence the business strategically. Someone confident with the ability to educate the board and the executive team top down about cyber risks problems, mitigating solutions, business impacts, and imperatives. This individual has strong interpersonal skills and business acumen, with the ability to manage stakeholders up to the C-suite level. Has successfully managed cyber transformations and communicates proper cyber risk management techniques, including third-party risk management using data-driven metrics and delivering clear and concise reporting and presentations.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent work experience in cybersecurity.
- 10+ years experience in cybersecurity or information security, cyber risk.
- Expert in security frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, HIPAA/HITECH, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001/2, GDPR, FAIR Taxonomy
- Strong preference for candidates with Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
