Idea Recruitment has partnered with a Local Arts Agency (LAA) for the City of Jacksonville in their search for a Grants Manager. Cultural Council initiatives are spread across the following five counties: Duval, Baker, Clay, Nassau and St Johns.

This is a Direct Hire opportunity and On Site

Job Summary 

The Grants Manager works closely with the Director of Grants Administration to advance arts and culture in Northeast Florida by managing the grant making and related activities of the Cultural Council.  This includes administration of the publicly-funded Cultural Service Grant Program (CSGP), along with other publicly and privately-funded grant programs that provide awards to both nonprofits and individuals for general operating, programmatic, and capital support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Provide support for development, management and administration of all public and private grant making programs and processes
  • Manage and become expert in Foundant online grant making system
  • Provide administrative support, including minutes, public notices, scheduling, correspondence, maintaining grant records, meeting coordination, attendance tracking, monitoring appointment terms to CSGP Committee
  • Serve as point person for grantee and grant review committee member questions, etc.
  • Assist with coordination of volunteer grant review committees
  • Ensure adherence to Florida’s Sunshine Law
  • Ensure grantee compliance with program objectives
  • Assist with grant compliance monitoring and reviewing reports
  • Coordinate technical assistance, training, networking and other professional development opportunities for potential applicants, applicants and grantees
  • Write and coordinate e-newsletter for grantees and maintain related web pages
  • Contribute to public relations/marketing efforts through photography, videography, collateral materials, swag, press releases, etc.
  • Plan and implement events
  • Coordinate surveys, collection and presentation of data and statistics
  • Monitor and share resources and information related to arts and culture
  • Develop an understanding of Northeast Florida’s arts and culture ecosystem
  • Research and respond to fund development opportunities for re-granting and sub-granting programs
  • Contribute to grant and proposal submissions to fund new grant making programs
  • Support advocacy efforts and initiatives at local, state and national levels
  • Support the nurturing of positive relationships with grantees, volunteers, civic and community partners
  • Represent the Cultural Council with external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Three to five years of professional work experience working in a related field
• Fluent with technology including Microsoft Office products, databases, graphic and web design, online systems and tools, etc.
• Preference for experience in a non-profit, government or philanthropic setting and a background in communications/journalism, grant writing/fund development, philanthropy or another related field
• Legal and/or financial/accounting background a plus
• Knowledge of the arts/culture/humanities sector a plus

Pay Range
$48,500.00   Annually to $48,500.00   Annually
