We are working on a newly created role with a global food technology company. This is a remote position that will be responsible for managing every aspect of their co manufacturing relationships, vendor management, supply chain, logistics, QA, and customer service. A background managing co- manufacturers and logistics is required. This is an ideal role for a person who thrives in start up environments and is excited to set up processes and procedures.
Location: Remote position, travel to their NYC office is required, can be based in the Metro New York area, Philly, Boston, Baltimore or a location somewhat commutable to NYC when needed.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Streamline and manage all supply chain and production relationships of the company and guarantee capacity with current and new production sites to meet demand for the immediate future as well as for the medium and the long term
  • Manage partnerships with existing and new contract manufacturers to maintain excellence in service levels and product quality while finding new and efficient ways to lower costs
  • Set the quality agenda and ensure execution of a plan that delivers food safety, regulatory compliance and consumer satisfaction
  • Coordinate and manage warehouses to fulfill sales orders and maintain sufficient product shelf life
  • Analyze, manage, and report all service metrics and KPI’s related to freight, storage and warehouse capacity
  • Coordinate with general management of the U.S. operations and take on tasks such as customer relations and management, setting up companywide processes and systems, participation in recruiting, as well as representing the company at various industry events and consumer organizations
  • Work cross functionally with other regional leaders to import and export practices for the operations function, as wll as seek to import and export finished goods in order to drive a more efficient operation

Required Skills/Qualifications:  
  • 10-15 years’ experience in food manufacturing and operations is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or applicable function, MBA is ideal
  • Must have past experience working in the CPG industry
  • Start up experience preferred
  • Able to excel in a start environment. Able to create new procedures and processes from scratch, has a strong entrepreneurial mindset
  • Must has previous experience managing co-manufacturing relationships
  • Must be strong in managing logistics
  • Posses strong planning, project management, and execution skills
  • Data driven/analytical capability and ability to present to a leadership team
  • Demonstrates leadership ability and work well cross functionally regionally and globally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time
