What You’ll Do:
As an Operations Specialist you will provide a supporting role to the national operations team in the following areas- Distribution, Transportation, Safety, Facilities. Lean project implementation and Inventory control.
Primary Responsibilities:- Oversee the freight claims process and act as the liaison between the freight carrier, operations and finance
- Manage daily delivery exceptions for freight shipments and facilitate communications between the customer, sales and the freight carrier
- Analyze freight invoices for accuracy, approve for payment by finance and provide reporting
- Provide analysis of spend data on supply items such as reels, pallets, and stretch wrap
- Provide tracking and follow up of all steel returnable reels (assets), acting as liaison between operations, finance and purchasing
- Provide support to the distribution center teams around varying inventory control activities- cycle counting, physical inventories, scrap, and day to day inventory reconciliation events.
- Build and Report out monthly activity information between brands that focuses on key performance indicators
- Help produce the monthly internal audit report to ensure consistency of work product from site to site.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the OmniCable operations team in areas such as safety, UL (quality) compliance and lean initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in an administrative role
- Demonstrated experience with taking ownership, initiation and establishment of priorities, anticipation of needs and handling of multiple tasks simultaneously
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and planning skills along with proven ability to take ownership and drive results
- Experience with compiling data, generating spreadsheets and preparation / enhancement of correspondence and presentations
- Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Concur, Internet / Intranet, E-files, Shared Drives, etc. ...)
- Ability to network across organizations and identify resources / services / etc...
