Methodist Charlton Medical Center is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our Oncology Team. This is for a Full-Time Day job opportunity.

The Oncology Navigator independently provides specialized nursing care with the primary emphasis on managing the care of identified patients with cancer.  You will work in conjunction with the patient's multidisciplinary care team according to agreed clinical guidelines with the objective of coordinating high-quality patient care across all care delivery sites. Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary care team, composed of surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, hematologists, gastroenterologists, urologists, pathologists, psychologists, social workers, staff nurses, and a wide range of other team specialists. You will also provide continuity and coordination of patient care; conducts patient and professional education initiatives; hold a collaborative relationship with multidisciplinary teams, community resources, and agencies.

Oncology Nurse Navigator Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred
  • Current BCLS Certification
  • OCN preferred, and additional certifications as required by the department.
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
  • Work experience: at least 2 years of RN experience/administration
  • Work experience in an Oncology Department - Strongly Preferred
