Axion BioSystems, is a rapidly growing, private equity backed life science tools company located in Atlanta, GA. The Company is a leading manufacturer of microelectrode array (MEA) and impedance systems used to evaluate the biology of networked cells (e.g., neurons, cardiac cells, lung and liver) for applications such as cancer research, vaccine development, modeling neurological disease and drug development. When combined with modern cell culture technologies, Axion’s platform allows scientists to model human biology in a dish. Axion’s products are used by pharmaceutical and biotech companies, governmental agencies, and universities for drug safety, drug discovery, cell and gene therapy development and disease modeling assays.

Axion BioSystems, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Intern for the summer semester to complement and support the company’s Customer Success team. As a member of this team, you will directly interact with customers via phone and email to answer questions regarding sales, facilitate and triage customer support, and collect and enter order information. The individual will be responsible for reviewing and accurately entering purchase orders into Axion’s Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) platform. Attention to detail and a positive demeanor are critical to success. A proactive mindset for keeping customers up to date on orders and streamlining processes will be keys to success in this role.

Job Duties
  • Accurately enter and review customer purchase orders into Axion’s ERP system in a timely manner.
  • Communicate via email customer order statuses and shipment notifications.
  • Relay inquiries from customers to Axion Biosystem’s Operations and finance departments.
  • Assist with documentation of procedures and policies for Customer interactions and workflows
Job Requirements
    • Self-directed and independent learner able to work cooperatively within a team, and follow established work-flows
    • Currently enrolled in secondary education in Business or Communications related field.
    • Detail-oriented and organized work ethic.
    • Ability to multi task and prioritize work to accomplish goals on a deadline.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Professional and pleasant phone manner to service incoming and outgoing calls.
    • Proficiency in use of computers and software.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
