Brand Manager

We are working on a management level Brand Manager role with a natural beverage company. This role will be responsible for development and commercialization of end-to-end marketing strategies to drive sales and profit targets with a primary focus of base business, as well as support for new product launches. Must have experience in the CPG industry with small to mid-size food CPG companies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop short and long-term marketing plans that incorporate a strong understanding of the products, marketplace, and consumer trends
  • Partner cross departmentally with key business leaders to drive continuous improvement processes for the brand
  • Provide data for understanding market gabs, and unmet consumer needs to drive base business growth, while advocating for opportunities for new innovation and product differentiation
  • Implement learning from analytic resource to drive efficient and effective support programs for consumer awareness, trial, and engagement
  • Coordinate marketing support planning with the Brand Manager of Innovation to develop new product roadmap and associated the consumer needs
  • Manage brand architecture and protect brand equity
  • Identify consumer appropriate marketing insight tools to unlock deeper consumer needs and identify white space opportunities
  • Continue to stay current with knowledge of customers, category, and marketing trends, developments and best practices
  • Lead efforts in new advertising development, packaging design and brand positioning
  • Upholds and manages team participation in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and volunteering opportunities

Required Skills/Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of marketing experience in a food CPG environment
  • Must have a few years of management experience
  • Will have previous experience managing budgets, and working with outside agencies
  • Past history developing marketing plans and commercialization
  • Must have experience being involved in new product launches
  • Ideally will have worked as an analyst early in career to have a clear understanding of a CPG food environment
  • Should be comfortable with all MS applications, Excel, pivot tables, vlookups, and PowerPoint
