What You’ll Do:- Provide desktop, laptop, and other user device support, research and implement fixes for issues, configure and troubleshoot customer-facing systems
- Administer Exchange email, maintain company accounts and distribution groups, manage security through allowed whitelists/blacklists and policies, perform archival email recovery for lost messages
- Curate hardware and software, purchase/maintain company equipment, provide RMA requests for damaged DC scan guns, reconfigure repaired units, maintain an asset inventory for important devices and services, test promising new technology to evaluate potential benefit to the company
- Address technical issues via email, phone, or in-person; delegate as appropriate
- Update active directory users and groups, investigate network alerts and outage reports via monitoring programs
- Administer Mitel phone system, manage group call forwarding and PIN/button layout changes, install and configure Micollab clients on laptops, perform basic troubleshooting on desk phone base units and headset/handsets
- Purchase and configure necessary base unit equipment for Hoopla, provide guidance on system installation, monitor and correct visibility issues
- Manage the IT room, change OPUS backup tapes each workday, keep storage areas clear of clutter, monitor heat and humidity levels
- Update emergency after hours call contact weekly
- Serve as IT lead for employee onboarding and offboarding, create and remove accounts in Omni systems, obtain/configure and recover equipment, coordinate with hiring manager to ensure new hire has appropriate work area, provide IT instruction on first day, redirect accounts and communications of terminated employees
- Document completed projects in Samanage
What You’ll Need:- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT equipment configuration and maintenance
- Bachelor’s or applicable technical degree, or relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting, creative problem solving
- Capacity to learn new technology that will work with our systems
- Ability to juggle multiple projects in a team environment
- Ability to handle ad hoc requests as well as planned activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Team-player attitude
Preferred:- Experience in an IT helpdesk environment
- Ability to deal with stressful situations in a composed and constructive manner.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Exercise sound judgment to manage the day-to-day activities and expectations
