The gig in short:

We are growing rapidly, and our Compliance, Risk and Governance team is searching for a Compliance associate to support our compliance initiatives. In this role, you will report directly to our compliance manager. You will contribute to a robust compliance and risk management culture through various initiatives, including providing the businesses guidance on potential compliance issues and risks to help create and implement new policies, and controls.

 

This role is ideal for a proactive go-getter with an interest in growing, learning, and wearing multiple hats. This is an opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and consistent attention to detail.

What we want you to do:

  • advise on compliance matters and questions as they arise

  • advise the business on compliance policies, maintaining and helping to develop compliance policies and procedures to help establish industry best practices including around marketing and communications

  • Timely review of proposed advertising and marketing materials to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices

  • Assist Compliance Manager with the implementation of the compliance roadmap including monitoring, risk assessment, privacy program and vendor management

  • Perform general compliance projects and tasks

  • Analyze all compliance procedures and monitor all risks for the same and evaluate all potential defects and assist in resolution for the same and track all issues and administer consumer complaints and recommend corrective actions.

 

 

What we are looking for and what you have to have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience including implementing compliance processes and advisory role

  • J.D. a plus

  • Ability to balance multiple time-sensitive priorities in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment

  • experience with monitoring

  • experience with privacy

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Experience with Federal Trade commission (FTC) consumer protections laws, regulations and guidelines  

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
