We are working with a fast-growing food company that is at the forefront of transforming the way leafy greens are grown and distributed in the United States. This company currently operates 16 acres of production at 6 greenhouse farms in the Northeast and Midwest and is in the process of building 5 new regional hubs that will increase production by 60 acres over the next 2 years. Their long-range plan includes building over 200 acres and expanding into additional product lines.

We are seeking a Procurement & Inventory Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for ensuring business continuity in relation to material management.  Such responsibilities include collecting data, placing purchase orders, managing inventory levels, managing material escalations, and supporting product innovations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create and send purchase orders for all greenhouses for raw materials, packaging, and essential daily items
  • Manage material lead times and manage through escalations
  • Analyze greenhouse/warehouse inventory, supply-demand planning to identify safety stocks and on-hand inventories
  • Verify AP processing of supplier invoices
  • Support the development of ERP system and other Procurement reports and KPIs
  • Coordinate between business and buying team and lead actions pertaining innovations
  • Perform other supply chain management duties as assigned
  • The scope of this role may change as needed

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant Operations/Procurement experience, preferably in FMCG manufacturing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and internal teams
  • Ability to collect and analyze information from multiple sources and prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and present recommendations
  • Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret general industry documentation
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision, self-starter
