The Staff Accountant will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
You will have responsibility for providing financial insight and analysis to support the business in managing its performance in addition to ownership over the accounting, reporting and internal control environment. Specific areas of activity and ownership include:  
  • Assist in the Month End Review process, including:
    • Calculation and preparation of journal entries, along with necessary supporting documentation, in line with accrual-based accounting standards
    • Posting and/ or review journal entries in the ERP system
    • Preparation and review of account reconciliations including investigation and analysis of reconciliating items
    • Assist in reconciliation of intercompany balances
  • Accounting & Reporting:
    • Assist in preparation of internal monthly and year-end financial reports
    • Complete variance analysis and provide insights on changes in trend and period-over-period movements
    • Support annual audit procedures through data gathering, variance explanations, and documentation preparation
  • Ad-hoc requirements – supporting the business with any ad-hoc reporting or request.  Such areas may include system implementation/enhancements, ad-hoc business analysis/ modelling, local tax reporting and compliance, acquisition and integration support and other special projects as assigned

Required Education/Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance and a CPA License (preferred)
  • 2 years in accounting experience


  • Knowledge of financial management
  • Highly skilled in the use of Excel Spreadsheets
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
