SENIOR AGILE COACH  
 
 
ROLE OVERVIEW 
 
The Senior Agile Coach will serve as a program coach and/or transformation lead for 4-10 teams in a program, department, or division. Candidate may lead other Agile Coaches, lead a transformation, design and facilitate formal training, and coach stakeholders, executives and Product Managers. Candidate may work with executive leaders or Enterprise Coaches to measure the flow of value, establish OKRs, assess Agile maturity and design and execute on detailed coaching plans. Candidate should be able to design complex Jira processes, navigate, and influence the interactions between teams and departments, create alliances with senior business leaders, and establish and drive an Agile Center of Excellence (COE). 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   
 
  • Lead a transformation for a program or department of 4-10 teams  
  • Coach other Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Product Managers, and business leaders 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define outcomes and a roadmap for the organization’s Agile transformation.  
  • Establish and ensure adoption of standards, ceremonies, and best practices for Agile ways of working. 
  • Provide guidance, facilitate sprint and release planning sessions, and other Agile ceremonies as needed. 
  • Challenge existing workflows and processes and remove impediments to Agile teams’ success. 
  • Facilitate the organization’s transition to a continuous delivery model and adoption of an Agile mindset across stakeholders. 
  • Champion Agile approaches, drive awareness of the Agile transformation, and gain stakeholder buy-in to expand adoption and support Agile approaches. 
  • Keep up to date with corporate policies, practices, and industry trends concerning Agile.  
  • Participate in the identification, collection, and reporting of Agile practice metrics and measurements to track progress. 
  • Assist with establishing an Agile Center of Excellence, communities of practice and developing a culture of continuous improvement across teams. 
  • Maintain an involvement in industry Agile communities to continuously bring new methods and ideas to the organization. 
  • Highly involved in developing CC Pace’s Agile Practice by helping to build and pilot new tools, assets, capabilities and service offerings.  
  • Key contributor for thought leadership and business development by producing blog posts, newsletters, webinars, and creating and delivering presentations at industry events. 
  • Partner with the Agile Practice Director on recruiting activities for new Agilists at CC Pace: sourcing, interviewing, selecting 
  • Mentor lower level Agilists at CC Pace 
 
QUALIFICATIONS  
 Related Experience:  
  • 6+ years of demonstrated successful experience in an Agile Coaching role 
  • Expertise with Scaling frameworks required (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, Scrum@Scale) 
  • Experience leading an agile transformation required 
  • Experience leading other Agile Coaches or Scrum Masters required 
  • Advanced Jira skills: able to design custom workflows required 
  • Extensive experience designing and delivering training sessions 
  • Project Management experience a plus

  • Proficiency in the following required: 
  • Microsoft Outlook 
  • MS Office Suite, including: 
  • Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables; slicer; vlookup; formulas; if then statements) 
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (e.g., update presentations; create graphs, tables and other data visualization techniques) 
  • Microsoft Word 
  • Agile Delivery Tools – Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Jira, Trello,  
  • Collaboration Tools – Mural, Miro 
 
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / Marketing / Finance / Operations / Computer Science or related field required 
  • Master’s degree a plus 
  • Advanced coaching certification required (ICE-AC or SPC or ICP-ENT or ICP-CAT) 
  • ICE-EC, CEC, LPM, ICP-LPM, ICP-SYS a plus 
  • Formal Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
