About the Position:

National Grid Renewables is seeking a NERC Compliance Intern for the summer of 2023. The intern will preferably be an MBA candidate with Engineering and/or Legal focus. The NERC Compliance Internship is for an individual that is looking for a career experience in the renewables industry and is hungry to make a difference...as part of a great team Compliance. This opportunity may be remote.

What you will be doing:

The intern will focus on one or two of the following areas:
 
  • Internal NERC Compliance Program:
    • Review and update existing procedures
    • Draft new procedures as needed
    • Assist generation sites with day-to-day NERC Compliance and documentation activities
    • Assist with the preparation of required periodic submittals to various regulators
    • Other duties as assigned

  • Internal Audit
    • Assist the NERC Compliance Officer with the mapping of evidence per NERC standards and requirements to develop a “Live” auditable document.
    • Conduct research to gather internal nerc evidence and documentation to meet all standards and requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned

What you bring to this role:
 
  • A Bachelor’s degree(s)
  • MBA is not required but preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Teams; Sharepoint)
  • Analytical-minded

  • Strong written and oral communicator
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Quick, accurate, and consistent work

Other Important Information:
  • This is a paid internship
  • Expected hours are about 40/week
