Pay starts at $13.39 and can increase to $14.23
Part-time shift 9:00 am-1:00 pm M-F
Position Description: Helper/Dishwasher/Server/Stocker
Department: Food Service
SUMMARY: Persons related to food preparation or service, performing such activities as serving food, washing and sanitizing equipment and utensils, stocking food and supplies, and assisting with other related duties required in operating the food service program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Understands the regulations and goals of the Child Nutrition Program set forth on the State and Federal level.
- Understands and implements department policies and procedures.
- Practices all Health Department rules and guidelines.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma required. A valid ServeSafe certificate or a valid certificate from a 10-hour approved sanitation class is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, parents, staff, and the general public.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Mathematical aptitude involving basic arithmetic skills.
Ability to understand common sense reasoning and to carry out detailed but basic written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to correctly follow oral and written instructions.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to work in a friendly manner with co-workers and students. Good organizational and math skills; ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to perform the job, and communicate in a noisy environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to operate all types of kitchen equipment. Ability to perform duties with full awareness of all district requirements and the Board of Education policies.
